1. First, open the Word document and find the place to add comments, usually before the punctuation at the end of the sentence.

2. Then click "Reference" on the menu bar above, and click "Insert Footnote".

4. At this point, you can see that the superscript ""has appeared in the upper right corner of the text.

5. Footnote separator and footnote number can be seen at the bottom of the page. At this time, the footnote number is also superscript. Select the footnote number, and then click the superscript symbol under the Start column.
