Anju, Sanskrit Vāysika, literally translated as Rain Period, also known as Xia Anzhu, Rain Anju, Sitting in Summer, Sitting in Wax and Knoting, is one of the Buddhist practice systems. In India, summer rain lasts as long as March. In order to prevent going out in the rainy season and killing insects and new buds of grass trees on the ground, Buddhism stipulates that during these three months, monks are forbidden to go out, live in one place and concentrate on practice, which is to be prepared for danger in times of peace. The fourth volume of "Four Divisions", by deleting random causes, explains the meaning of the word "prepare for danger in times of peace".
