When we allow ourselves to be ungrateful, we can allow others to be ungrateful, so that when we are good to others and others are bad to ourselves, we can also be calm. Then we know it's no use returning good for evil. Finally, when we are kind to others, we will no longer have a purpose and ask for nothing in return. Isn't there a saying that my kindness to you doesn't mean how good you are, but that I am very good. I have turned kindness to others into a habit. Many people feel that they are kind, that the world is beautiful, and everyone is kind, and then there is a big contrast when they encounter unpleasant things. They thought my kind world was so kind to me that it lasted for several days. If you think about it carefully, Xunzi's theory of evil nature is not completely correct, but it is still very useful. As long as we have enough courage to accept ourselves as villains and allow others to be villains, we will have a very easy life. To put it bluntly, there is actually only one sentence. What affects our happiness is what Father Ba said: "Low expectations". As long as we don't think too much about life and try to make it worse, our sense of happiness will explode. Only by believing that we won't wake up tomorrow can we live today. Why are there black spots on a piece of paper? Our attention will focus on a small point, because we expect a piece of paper to be white and spotless. If all the paper in the world is black, suddenly you are given a piece of paper with black spots, and your attention must be in the white area. We all long for freedom, but freedom is difficult. Kindness and ruthlessness are beyond most of us.
