[Keywords:] The negative correlation between culture and economic development is self-sufficient.
For a long time, people's traditional ideas have always separated culture and economy, thinking that culture and economy are like cars running on two roads. In fact, there is a close relationship between culture and economy. Then, how should we treat the dialectical relationship between culture and economy in order to promote its better development has become a prominent problem before us.
1. Culture provides spiritual power, value orientation and modern human resources for economic growth and development.
In the three systems of social politics, economy and culture, culture plays a guiding role, and the development of social economy must have rational spiritual support and value navigation. This rational spiritual support is the advanced culture of society, which embodies the spirit of modern industrial civilization, meets the needs of people's material and spiritual life, improves people's subjective consciousness and ideological and cultural quality, and also enhances people's values. Today, culture has penetrated into all processes and links of modern economic activities. In particular, universal cultural identity has unique advantages in reducing and overcoming trade conflicts and economic frictions caused by cultural differences and adapting to the trade environment and investment environment, and can play a unique role that other systems can't.
The foundation of economic development is human resources, especially in the contemporary economic globalization system, the dependence of economic growth and development on high-level human resources is more prominent. Singapore's economic development is called the "miracle" of the third world economy. Although "miracle" is the result of many factors, there is no doubt that Singapore has established the development strategies of "building the country through education" and "rejuvenating the country through science and technology" at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, established a benign structure of multi-cultural complementarity, and formed a strong "cultural force". When we look to China, it is not difficult to find this phenomenon. Areas rich in culture, especially traditional cultural resources, are often areas with high regional productivity or rapid regional economic development.
The importance of culture to the economy is far from the actual role of culture in the economic field and economic activities. More importantly, culture has a long-term and far-reaching significance to the economy. It can be predicted that the competition in the future world is not only the competition of economic advantages, but also the competition of cultural advantages.
Second, the development of culture depends on the development of economy.
In the process of interdependence, mutual promotion and common development between culture and economy, economy provides material basis and guarantee for the survival, development and progress of culture.
When we look at the role of economy in cultural development, on the one hand, economy provides a material foundation and a rich source of creation for the development and progress of culture. On the other hand, economy provides impetus and circulation market for the development and progress of culture. Economic demand for culture is the driving force to promote cultural development and progress. Engels once said that the demand of production development is better than that of ten universities in promoting cultural development. Stimulated by the economy, there is a powerful driving force within the culture to promote its own development and progress. At the same time, because culture and art have many aesthetic values, people need them. When this demand gradually increases, it will inevitably materialize into products and turn into commodity value, and the price will be formed by the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In this way, culture will circulate in the market in the form of commodities. It is in this circulation process that cultural products realize their value, accumulate funds for their own reproduction and realize their own development. Obviously, it can be seen from here that "the level of economic development determines the development scale of cultural construction".
It is precisely because economy plays such an important role in cultural development and progress that we have every reason to say that the fundamental of cultural development lies in economy. When the economy is developed, the culture based on it will be in a relatively strong position; On the contrary, the economy is backward, and the culture based on it will be in a relatively weak position. Only by developing economy, strengthening national strength and changing our economic foundation can traditional culture overcome the powerful western culture. Therefore, the most important thing in modernization is economic modernization. Only on the basis of economic modernization can we build political modernization and superstructure modernization, thus establishing a powerful modern culture with China characteristics.
Undoubtedly, it is precisely because economy plays a direct role in culture, and the existence of this direct role is generally accepted by people, so people must first pay attention to economic development in the process of social development, and firmly believe that only economic prosperity can promote the development and progress of culture.
Third, there is a negative correlation between cultural development and economic development.
From the perspective of social and historical development, culture and economy are always interrelated, mutually promoting and developing together. However, the relationship between cultural development and economic development is not always like this. Sometimes cultural development and economic development are even negatively related, that is, cultural development and economic development are not "self-logical".
We have noticed that the culture is developed and the economy that coexists with it may be very backward. We can't simply equate cultural advantages with productivity advantages and economic advantages. Because culture, as a potential form of productivity, needs many intermediaries and links to be transformed into realistic productivity and become an economic advantage.
At the same time, economic development can really promote the development of culture. However, just as everything has two sides, the influence of economic development on culture has some negative effects besides positive effects. For example, the "fast food" culture makes people's cultural appreciation level gradually decline. It should be noted that economic development not only promotes the continuous expansion of the scale of cultural construction, but also objectively restricts its expanded content and quality.
The self-sufficient logic of economic development cannot prove the self-sufficient logic of cultural development, just as the gradual development of productivity from low to high does not mean that culture also develops from low to high. The non-self logic of cultural development and economic development, that is, the negative correlation, just shows the complexity of their relationship, that is, cultural prosperity does not mean economic prosperity, and economic development does not mean this kind of cultural development.
To sum up, in order to better promote social development, we must correctly view the relationship between culture and economy as two wheels of human civilization development. That is, on the one hand, although culture and economy have their own laws and characteristics, they are interdependent, mutually promoting and closely related to development, that is, economy plays a fundamental role in culture and culture plays a guiding role in economy, and they have interactive effects in interaction and develop in interaction. On the other hand, the illogicality of cultural development and economic development requires us to fully consider the complexity of the relationship between culture and economy when formulating social development policies, so as to promote the rapid, orderly and benign development of society.
