Mainly devoted to the research in the fields of cultural linguistics and theoretical linguistics. More than 30 papers were published in domestic academic core journals, and 2 textbooks were edited. In June 5438+February 2009, the academic monograph "Idiom Research" was published. Its research direction mainly focuses on the study of appellation culture, idiom culture and language construction. Professor Li Shuxin paid special attention to and studied the applied value of linguistics and the social and cultural characteristics of linguistics. In the cultural research of idioms, he published a series of papers, such as Seven Things to Open the Door-Idioms of Rice, Oil, Salt and Vinegar Tea, Idioms of Names, Idioms of abacus, Idioms of Drama and Idioms of Three Cultures.

From June 5th to1October 25th, 2005, Guangming Daily published the article "Ten Years of Chinese Appellations Research", which highly praised Professor Li Shuxin's research, and held that "Li Shuxin's article" Modern Chinese Appellations and China Traditional Culture "initiated the research in this period and had a great influence in academic circles. Later, he put forward two principles of Chinese appellation in Two Principles of Chinese Appellation, namely, the principle of equality and difference and the principle of emotion, which were recognized and adopted by domestic scholars. On June 14, 2005, Guangming Daily published an exclusive interview with Professor Li Shuxin in the column of "Bright Dialogue", entitled "What should I call you". This discussion on address has aroused widespread concern in society. Li Shuxin presided over the national social science fund project "Research on Geographical Names Culture in Inner Mongolia", which has high application value. The results were appraised by experts and rated as excellent by the National Social Science Planning Office.
