Principle of duplicate checking of HowNet:
HowNet duplicate checking is to calculate the repetition rate of papers according to the criterion that 13 characters will be judged as duplicates. If students copy sentences or paragraphs from other people's papers, the duplicate checking system of HowNet will identify the duplicate parts and calculate them into the total repetition rate of the papers.
Therefore, it is suggested that students should not plagiarize and other academic misconduct when writing papers, so as to prevent the total repetition rate of papers from rising a lot because of excessive repetition.
