Abstract:? Buddhism is an experience, and Zen is the purest essence of all Buddha's teachings. "Zen" can make people understand the essence of everything and gain infinite wisdom. The enlightenment of "Zen" to artistic creation is to make people know the importance of breaking persistence, cultivating the mind and cultivating the nature. If an artist reaches this level, he can feel at ease, become powerless, and get a method from it. The reason why "Zen art" has outstanding artistic charm is precisely because artists show unique self-nature and authenticity in their works. Modern jewelry is an important carrier of modern art, focusing on expressing the spiritual connotation of the times and interpreting the artist's self-perception. In China, modern jewelry design is still in a new field. How to make modern jewelry design break through the traditional material concept, sublimate to a higher spiritual level and meet the spiritual demands of modern people is an arduous task facing Chinese jewelry designers. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part: expounds the relationship between Zen and art and the influence of Zen on art, so as to obtain the theoretical basis of the possibility of combining Zen with art. The second part: expounds the concept of modern jewelry design, compares the development status of eastern and western jewelry, and discusses the possibility and necessity of combining Zen spirit with modern jewelry design. The third part: By analyzing the creative process of my graduation jewelry design work Biography, I explore the concrete integration of Zen and modern jewelry design. The fourth part: Summarize this research proposition and point out the significance of putting forward the concept of Zen jewelry under the background of modern life. By analyzing the similarity between Zen and art, this paper discusses the relationship between Zen Buddhism and modern jewelry design and creation, so that the spirit of Zen can be absorbed and applied by modern artistic creation, which provides a unique perspective for today's diversified artistic creation thinking.
