Today we learn about the treatment of mastitis in dairy cows.
1. Clinical diagnosis of cow mastitis
(1) On the basis of general examination, feel the skin temperature and sensitivity of the corresponding breast area with the back of your hand, and observe the swelling and color change of the breast.
Through milking experiment, we can know the thickness of milk flow and the change of milk characteristics.
Touch and press the breast with or without scleredema and nodules, and press your hand flat at 0.5-0.8 cm next to the midline behind the breast to understand the size and sensitivity of breast lymph nodes.
(2) Local breast changes.
When acute mastitis occurs, the breast tissue swells, and the secretory function of mammary gland secretory cells is destroyed under the action of inflammatory agents, and the milk becomes a flocculent or flaky yellowish dilute inflammatory liquid.
Second, the treatment points of cow mastitis
(1) Treatment principle: Clinical mastitis is mainly treated with antibiotics, combined with traditional Chinese and western medicine, and treated both internally and externally, so as to control inflammation and restore lactation function as soon as possible.
(2) Treatment: nipple perfusion, breast base and breast lymph node occlusion, systemic intramuscular injection, intravenous drip, oral administration and external application.
For acute swelling, high dose of penicillin, streptomycin, neomycin, cephalosporin, erythromycin, oxytetracycline, etc. If the extrudate is an inflammatory yellowish liquid, it can be used.
