A monograph in the field of business
Business ethics refers to the sum of good and evil value orientation, moral principles and moral norms that enterprises and their members should follow in business activities to improve their own quality and coordinate their internal and external interests. The business ethics discussed in this paper begins with the businessman's violation of some business ethics rules, and also involves the businessman's management of the enterprise and the morality of the economic system.

Although business ethics involves businessmen and their members' compliance with business norms and economic regulations, business ethics is not the same as business norms and economic regulations, which have strong mandatory and heteronomy characteristics, while business ethics belongs to the moral category and has self-discipline and non-mandatory characteristics. To put it simply, business ethics requires businesses and their members in the market economy, including honest management, equal trading, fair competition, legitimate profit-making, and compliance with professional ethics. The purpose of establishing business ethics is to maintain the normal order of the market economy by protecting the equal competition of merchants and safeguarding the rights and interests of consumers in the market economy, and at the same time to improve personal moral personality by cultivating personal business ethics.

Second, the analysis of the harmfulness of the lack of business ethics

1. Harm the interests of consumers.

The essence of marketing is to meet the needs of consumers while realizing the profit target of enterprises. Under socialist conditions, the interests of enterprises and consumers are basically the same, and the ultimate goal of enterprise management is to enhance social wealth and meet the growing material and cultural needs of the people. Therefore, consumers are the "gods" of enterprises. However, manufacturing and selling fake and inferior products; Overpriced, disorderly "slaughter" customers; Using false advertisements to cheat, buy and sell, etc. , not only cause their economic losses, but also affect their physical and mental health, and even endanger their lives. Here, the rights and interests of consumers have been completely destroyed, and the purpose of socialist production is difficult to achieve.

2. It destroys the fair competition order and harms the interests of other competitors.

Fairness is the basic principle of market competition. Under the normal market background, every enterprise is equal, others compete on the same starting line and win the competition and advantage through proper means, so the benefits obtained from it are legitimate. However, in order to crowd out competitors and monopolize the market, some enterprises steal their business secrets through improper means; Selling goods by bribery; Defame or belittle the business reputation or product reputation of competitors in advertisements or publicity; Dumping at a price below cost, etc. All these behaviors are detrimental to the fair principle of market competition, disturb the order of market competition, seriously affect the production and business activities of other enterprises, put them in an unfavorable competitive position and harm their legitimate interests.

3. It has seriously damaged the public interest.

Marketing must follow certain rules and abide by social morality. Enterprises must bear corresponding social responsibilities in the marketing process and make contributions to promoting social welfare and healthy development. However, considering the impact of fake and shoddy products on brand-name products, not only the profits of brand-name enterprises are reduced, but also the national profits and taxes are reduced, and the state has to spend huge sums of money to investigate and deal with fake and shoddy products, resulting in huge losses. At the same time, in order to legalize the manufacture and sale of fake and shoddy products, some lawless elements do not hesitate to bribe government officials, or engage in connections or enter through the back door in the sales process, which aggravates the corruption of social atmosphere and hinders the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.

4. Seriously damaged the interests of the enterprise itself.

Whether it is manufacturing or selling fake and inferior products, or using false advertisements to cheat, buy or sell, or using other improper marketing methods, in the short term, enterprises have gained immediate benefits by deceiving consumers and luring consumers to take the bait, but in the long run, once their illegal acts are exposed, they will inevitably endanger their own reputation and credibility, be condemned by public opinion, be spurned by consumers, and eventually lose customers and markets.

Third, the reconstruction of business ethics countermeasures

1. Pay attention to improving the cultural quality of the whole people and creating a moral atmosphere.

First of all, as consumers, we should constantly improve our cultural quality and moral standards and distinguish between truth, goodness, beauty and falsehood, evil and ugliness. It can not only spit on and curb unethical behavior, but also make people who violate business ethics have no market; It can also be civilized, honest and trustworthy, which provides a broad space for businesses to carry out good business ethics. At the same time, consumers should learn to protect their legitimate rights and interests and effectively curb the spread of immoral behavior. Not complaining about violations of business ethics encourages this abuse and adds fuel to the fire. Secondly, as a businessman, we should abide by business ethics, conduct business in a civilized way and treat guests politely. In particular, business operators should regard business ethics as intangible assets, constantly strengthen their awareness of goodwill and economic credit, and truly realize that business ethics can create more business opportunities for themselves. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of corporate culture, let the sense of business ethics take root in the hearts of all employees, enhance the sense of crisis and mission, and resolutely avoid short-term "suicide" behavior that only pays attention to the narrow satisfaction of its immediate interests and loses business ethics, market and future.

2. Establish and improve the legal system of socialist market economy.

Market economy is a legal economy, and the rule of law must be emphasized. At present, China's economic and legal system is not perfect, so it is necessary to speed up legislation and revision and improve laws and regulations. First, actively improve the laws and regulations on contract supervision and management, and enhance the operability of cracking down on contract fraud; The second is to improve the enterprise registration management system to prevent enterprises from violating business ethics; Third, strengthen the legislation of enterprise financial management to meet the needs of the development of China's socialist market economy; Fourth, speed up the construction of the credit system, so that the market economy can truly become a credit economy; Fifth, it is necessary to establish and improve the access system for employees, so that all employees have legal "qualification certificates", which is convenient for law enforcement agencies to investigate and control, and can also effectively curb illegal activities.

3. Get rid of local protectionism

Reform the traditional assessment method of local and departmental leaders' "political achievements", that is, in addition to the economic aggregate indicators, we should also pay attention to the market environment and the level of coordinated economic and social development. At the same time, the market openness and environmental protection level of a place can also reflect the level and ability of its leaders. How can such "achievements" meet the requirements of sustainable development by manufacturing and selling fake and shoddy products in pursuit of economic growth indicators, even at the expense of a region's environment? Therefore, the key to eliminating local protectionism, the biggest obstacle in credit and moral construction, lies in reforming the simple quantitative indicators of local leaders' assessment, which is conducive to the formation of a unified domestic market.

4. Promote the reform of property rights system and curb short-term behavior.

Now many enterprises have unclear property rights, and there are many "mother-in-law". Especially in state-owned enterprises, the state realizes the interests of owners through the system of government officials, and government officials should be appointed in the new term, which leads to the short-term behavior of operators, often ignoring business ethics, eager for quick success and instant benefit at the expense of others. In this regard, it is necessary to clarify property rights, lift government constraints, and turn enterprises into entrepreneurs. Because entrepreneurs take lifelong management as their profession and care about the long-term interests of enterprises and the appreciation of their own human capital, they can abide by professional ethics.

5. Vigorously promote the promotion of famous products, implement the famous brand strategy, and make the good business ethics of emphasizing quality and keeping promises become a common practice.

Squeezing out the market through well-known brands formed in market competition can enhance consumers' confidence, expand market sales, and make it more difficult to sell fake and shoddy products. At present, it is difficult for the formation and development of famous brands to rely solely on the spontaneous power of the market. Therefore, in the case of domestic and international market competition, we should give them necessary support.

6. Strengthen law enforcement, severely punish acts that violate business ethics, and achieve "3. 15" every day.

Acts that violate financial, foreign exchange and industrial and commercial administrative regulations, violate market management regulations, illegally engage in industrial and commercial activities, and disrupt market order must be thoroughly investigated and dealt with. At the same time, we will resolutely crack down on corrupt acts such as lax law enforcement, corruption and bribery, safeguard legal dignity and promote the healthy development of business ethics.
