A paper on Buddhism
I wrote some articles before, hoping to help you. What is Zen? This topic is difficult to write in vain, because Zen can't be said, and the person who says it is not Zen. But I really want to talk about it from my own feelings. Then let's talk embarrassedly. If it is wrong, try to include it. Don't fall into the wild fox Zen without knowing the cause and effect. Ha ha! Zen: (Zen) The full name of Zen is Zen, Tuoyanna and Chiana. Free translation means quiet thinking. Think quietly. "Five Lights Meeting Yuan" Volume 1. At the Lingshan meeting, the Buddha showed flowers to the public, but everyone was silent. Only the venerable Ye Jia smiled through tears. The Buddha said, "I have a just eye, a wonderful mind, no reality, no subtle practice, no writing. I told Bibi Ye Jia to tell others.". This is probably a general recognition of the origin of Zen. Nowadays, Zen generally refers to the epiphany handed down by master Huineng, the sixth ancestor. Zen is to understand nature with your heart, to be initiated with your heart, and not to write. Pointing directly at people's hearts, seeing nature becomes Buddha. Break the connection together. The most prosperous period of Zen in history is the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties. Especially in the Tang Dynasty, it was wise after the event to talk about metaphysics from the emperor's literati to the common people. The biggest feature of Zen is to get rid of persistent and common logical thinking and inertial thinking. Generally speaking, there are three main stages of enlightenment and Zen. These three stages are difficult to express in words. I'll explain it with the 17 quotation in Volume 17 of "Five Lights Meeting Yuan": Thirty years ago, when the old monk didn't participate in meditation, he looked at mountains and water. Later, I saw knowledge with my own eyes (good knowledge, people with ways). I walked into that place and saw that mountains are not mountains and water is not water. Now I have to live in a private pavilion. According to the previous view, mountains are just mountains and water is just water. Gong, are these three views the same or different? What are the three views of this realm? It is hard to say that this form is universal. The one in the middle is to sweep away all persistence and see the truth. The last one is obviously different from the first one. But to prove a higher truth, which is the realm of Zen enlightenment. It's hard to express in words. This is a process of negation of negation. It can only be explained by metaphor, not by logic. The metaphor of Buddhism is often the pursuit of results, while logical thinking and inertial thinking are just processes. Compare the results of hyperlogical inertial thinking with the usual logical thinking and inertial thinking. Only enlightened people can perceive and confirm enlightened people. Which is initiation. So it's hard to say. Zen can't be understood with the usual scientific thinking. We believe in science. Zen people apply science like ordinary people and respect the laws of science. But when it comes to Zen, it is different from ordinary science, because science is induction, with probability as its purpose and experiment as its basis. Based on the outside world. Zen is the inner world, and it is an understanding of the inner world of self. If this classification can only be done by meditators. People without meditation can't understand it. Therefore, for scholars, they can only compare their own experiences with those handed down by others. As for Zen, there are hundreds of Samadhi (Samadhi), which one is your own, it depends on your own practice. However, the study of Zen is nothing more than "Shemota" and "Pi Bo Ashe". There are many stories about Zen in Confucian classics, some simple and some profound. Most scholars prefer simple and easy to understand, and don't delve into it. As the master Kumarajiva said, "Qin people are so simple" (China people liked simplicity at the end of Qin dynasty). The reason why the Six Ancestors' Magic Tanjing is widely circulated and loved by everyone is to our taste. Everyone likes an epiphany. I hope you can tell me a way to make me enlightened at once. It's not that simple. For example, when a person asks where the moon is, the Buddha points to the moon and says, "There it is". That man thinks the finger is the moon. In fact, the Buddha is telling him to follow his fingers. " "The Diamond Sutra" said: "If someone says that the Tathagata is blasphemous, it cannot explain what I said. "This sentence means that anyone who regards his finger as the moon is slandering the Buddha because he doesn't understand what I said. So you can't simply participate in the Zen case. Zen case-solving is actually a great success in learning Confucian classics. For example, Einstein was asked what his theory of relativity was. He replied, "when you wait for someone alone, you will feel that time passes slowly, and when a beautiful girl is with you, you will feel that time passes quickly." "This man knows what relativity is. In fact, Einstein's theory of relativity is not as simple as he said. It is just a metaphor to illustrate the theory of relativity. Just like pointing to the moon in the sky. On one occasion, the elder in Wonderland replied to the disciple's question about Zen after he finished "On the Land of Yoga Masters", saying, "I once saw a very famous mage talking about Zen in a Buddhist magazine. As a result, he didn't know what Zen was at all and talked a lot. What a pity! "Is a layman wrote to the famous mage, ask questions about zen. The mage wrote a letter to answer the layman, who thought the reply was very good and published it in a Buddhist magazine. Later, the Elders of Wonderland read this article. (Note: Elder Miao Jing is the former dean of Fayun Temple Buddhist College in the United States. Miao Lao is a famous monk today. He talks about the method of meditation and practice, and advocates the sect of knowing only. It is very complicated to really talk about Zen. There are hundreds of samadhi in Zen, which are divided into three realms, four realms of desire, four realms of color and four realms of emptiness and colorless. According to the service-seeking division, there are service-seeking places below Yi Chan in the color world, there are no service-seeking places in the middle Zen between Yi Chan and the second Zen, and there are no service-seeking places above the second Zen. According to the order of meditation, there are teachers and students who are eager to learn Samadhi, but not according to the order of meditation, there are some who go beyond Samadhi. There are also points according to work, boundaries, weights, nine points, sixteen points, seven points, forty points and so on. The Zen mentioned above is just a drop in the ocean. Let me mention what I have learned. As for the final study, I really dare not say that Zen Buddhism is enlightened. I can only give a brief introduction for your criticism and correction. What are the characteristics of eight cases of Han Buddhism in China? The eight schools of Mahayana Buddhism in China are Legalism, Huayan, Tiantai, Sanlunzong, Faxiangzong, Yanzhan, Zen and Pure Land. The eight sacred words of Buddhism: rich and poor, Zen is convenient and clean, and only knowledge and patience are good and auspicious. Traditionally, self-cultivation and self-discipline are strict, and Tiantai Sect is organized by righteousness. This paper briefly describes the eight major sects of Mahayana Buddhism in China-Tantric Sect, Zen Sect, Pure Land Sect, Only Knowing Sect, Jiaxiang Sect, Huayan Sect, Legalist Sect and Tiantai Sect. Eight sects of learning have their own characteristics: Tantric rituals are complex, and practice requires Buddha statues and gold and silver jewelry, so it is called "wealth". Zen is called "poor" because it only needs to talk, put aside everything and need nothing. The phrase "Amitabha" in Pure Land can be practiced anytime and anywhere, so it is called "convenience". It's hard to learn only names and looks, and you have to be able to bear the annoyance. On the theory of Jiaxiang School's research space, Hua Yan is the first of the eight traditional schools. The practice emphasizes discipline, and the rooftop classifies the classics to facilitate research and sort out special justice theories. " The law is equal and there is no competition. "Eight factions can achieve their goals. In order to facilitate beginners to remember these eight sects, why? There are also two Hinayana sects. That is, Hinayana Empty Sect becomes the true Sect, and Hinayana has various sects. * * * into ten boxes. 1, all the sects that give up their roots, focus on introducing all the theories of giving up their roots founded by Bodhisattva Ai Shi, carry forward the truth of various laws, and clarify the principle of selflessness. It is believed that karma in the universe is immortal, so all laws are true. As for man, it is a false combination and a combination of various laws, so there is no false me in all laws, and this law has the view that I am empty, which is the main idea of this theory. This theory holds that the fruit of nirvana can be proved by observing the four truths without leaking true wisdom. Ancestors: Liang Wudi, Sanzang. 2. Based on the achievement theory of master Kali Ba Maw, Cheng Shizong gave full play to the empty theory of human law, established the concept of two empty laws, and broke the two obstacles of trouble and knowledge. If human law is empty, everything in the world will return to nirvana and silence. Grandfathers: Yao, monk Rui, etc. 3, Zen (also known as Buddhism), with no words and no text, emphasizes the cultivation of the heart, the communication between the heart and the heart, points to the heart, and regards Buddhism as a doctrine. In India, Mahakasyapa is the ancestor, and in China, Dharma in Liang Wudi is the ancestor. 4. Tiantai Sect, mainly Hokkekyo, explains the universe with three truths. When it comes to spiritual practice, we have to solve three mysteries, so we should try our best to solve them. This case originated from Huiwen in Northern Qi Dynasty, but concentrated the wisdom of Sui Dynasty. 5. Hua Yanzong (also known as Xianshouzong), based on Hua Yanjing, shows the origin of the dharma circle and the wonderful use of the ten mysteries and six phases, indicating the purport of clarity and harmony in all things. Founder: monk Du Shun in the early Tang Dynasty. 6. Mantra (also known as tantra) is based on the mantras and tantra of the Great Sun Sutra, such as the Jingang Dingjing, and consists of six major (namely, earth, water, fire, wind, qi, knowledge), four major mandalas (namely, mandala, Buddhism, karma) and three secrets (namely, body, mouth and mind). Ancestors: Sumitomo Buddha and King Kong Zhi during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. 7. Faxiangzong (also known as Ci 'en Sect, Only Knowing Sect, Xiangzong Sect, and Youzong Sect) is mainly based on the understanding of the Deep Secret Sutra, and the yoga teacher's theory of land becomes a theory of only knowing. Its teaching is all things in the universe, knowing its changes. As the saying goes, "the three realms are idealistic, and all laws are only known." Knowing the reality of all things, we can turn knowledge into wisdom and enter the wisdom of Buddha. In India, Master Xie Xian is the ancestor, and in China, Genjyo Sanzo of the Tang Dynasty is the ancestor. 8. Pure Land Sect (also known as Buddhism Sect and Lotus Sect), based on Amitabha Sutra, Infinite Life Sutra and Infinite Life Sutra, teaches people to make a wish and practice Buddhism so as to live in the western paradise, where they will be taught by Amitabha and live indefinitely until they become Buddhas. Founder: Master Hui Yuan of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. 9. Famen (also known as Nanshan School), based on the four laws in the Five Laws, advocates observing the precepts formulated by Sakyamuni Buddha to control daily thoughts, behaviors and concepts. After a long time, it will be decided by precepts and wisdom, as Buddha can prove. Ancestor: Zhong Nanshan Daoxuan lawyer in the early Tang Dynasty. 10, Sanlunzong (also known as Faxingzong, Hangzong, Kongzong and Prajna Sect), based on the theory of the middle, the theory of the white and the theory of twelve people, said that everything in the universe has no fixed self-nature and changes with the relationship, so it is called destiny, so it is called "self-emptiness". It advocates understanding Buddhism, freeing the mind from the cycle and proving the vacuum. Ancestor: Kumarajiva in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Note: Zun's explanation is based on the root of all beings, so it is convenient to stand up and say that there was no Sect at first. Dafa came from the East. Later, scholars in China saw that Buddhism was like the sea in Wang Yang. In order to facilitate practice, they chose a road of specialization, so there were various sects. /s/blog _ 49 CCB 1270 100 k5q 6 . html
