College life is different from the closed and tense life in high school. Many freshmen often feel confused and at a loss about the relaxed and free learning and living environment in universities.
Therefore, in the first year of college, we should make a good plan for our four-year college life. Freshman is basically a basic thing, and the proportion of specialized courses will increase to sophomore year. If the foundation is not solid, there will be a vicious circle. So I didn't want to relax my requirements in the first place. In fact, university is not the end of struggle, but the beginning of life competition, which is another new starting line in the course of life. In order to tap new hopes in the pace of progress, freshmen should make wise choices.
Economically independent, but learn to plan.
Most of my classmates are only children, and they are used to the comfortable life at home. Many things in college life should be done by themselves, including economic independence. In fact, there are not many people in universities who can take charge of their own "economic power" alone. As far as I know, many students around are borrowing money to live, not because the living expenses given by their parents are not enough, but because there is no plan. Drawing on the examples of many students, I can plan to spend my living expenses every month, and sometimes I have a surplus. I think this period of time can be used as an opportunity to cultivate self-independence. No matter how much living expenses your parents give, don't compare with others. You should spend in a planned way according to your own economic situation, which is conducive to cultivating your own consumption concept reasonably.
Adapt to changes in the environment.
When I first went to college, I felt that the surrounding environment had changed, including regional changes and changes in people around me. For regional changes, clothing, food, housing and transportation should be adapted as soon as possible.
For our freshmen, it is a new course to adjust interpersonal relationship and learn to get along with others. When you get along with others, you should follow the principle of honesty and exchange your own sincerity for others' sincerity. For some informal people, learn to be tolerant and not too sensitive. When you have a conflict with your classmates, you should put yourself in the other's shoes and deal with it calmly, and think more about it when you encounter something. Don't find fault with people who have prejudices. University is a small society, so I think we should be more patient and restrained, communicate more with classmates, communicate more with tutors when there are contradictions, and actively solve problems instead of avoiding them.
Learn to choose when there are many clubs.
There are many clubs in the university. If you have the ability and energy, you can participate in more community activities. I think this has two advantages. First, the club basically has activities every week, so you can enrich your after-school life without going out to spend money. You can also meet more people, ease the loneliness and loneliness of entering the university, and get help from seniors in your study.
However, it is worth noting that freshmen must keep their eyes open when choosing clubs, and it is best to choose according to their own characteristics. Joining a club is one of the most direct and effective ways for students to develop their hobbies and cultivate their specialties, and it is also the best opportunity to exercise their practical ability and improve their comprehensive quality. In particular, the current employers generally favor graduates who have served as student cadres during their college years, because student cadres have accumulated some work experience in student work, but the most important thing is to strive to make both study and work correct, otherwise the cart before the horse will be put.
University life is very precious for us these four years. What should we do to make college life more meaningful? I summed up four elements, namely, three pursuits and one preparation: pursuing knowledge, friendship and love, and making full preparations for work.
The quest for knowledge
The so-called pursuit of knowledge, we should be divided into two areas, namely professional knowledge and general knowledge. One attitude towards the major is to like it, so study. Whether it is studying rice or wheat, it is crazy to see it and needs to be studied. You don't have to ask whether the world needs this major. Since the university has set up this major, it shows that the world must need this major.
Pursue friendship
There are two most important prerequisites for making good friends: first, you are a good person yourself; Second, follow people who are better than you.
