The blind evaluation system is to send dissertations without the author's name to experts who can't know the author for evaluation, so the score should be the most objective. Colleges and universities in general, especially graduate schools, have relevant regulations on blind examination of papers on a regular basis, and most of them randomly select a certain number of papers for blind examination. External audit refers to sending papers to experts from other units for audit, and some schools are uniformly audited by degree offices.

Some schools are supervised by tutors. The review tutor designates the experts to submit their papers for review. Because the relationship between experts and tutors is generally good, they can all pass. The right of reply can only be obtained after the blind trial and the external trial are passed. If you fail the defense, you can't graduate. As long as two experts pass the blind trial or two experts pass the external trial, they have the right of reply. The defense Committee does not include experts from external auditors, and only half of them can graduate.

Neither doctors nor masters can graduate, but the proportion of masters is very small, and there are also unfinished masters, but the proportion is less than 1%. All doctoral dissertations and some master's dissertations are sent to other units for blind evaluation by the degree office before the defense, so as to ensure the quality of the defense thesis. In addition, the provincial and municipal education committees will randomly select a certain proportion of papers and invite other units to do blind evaluation to check the quality of postgraduate training.

All doctoral and master's dissertations can only participate in the defense if they pass the blind evaluation and external review, and then the defense Committee decides whether to pass the defense and award the degree. Finally, the academic degree committee of the unit will decide whether to grant the degree by secret ballot according to the quality of the thesis, course performance, ideological expression and whether to publish the thesis. If it is approved, it will be publicized for 3 months before obtaining the degree certificate.

Blind test method:

1. The proportion of graduate students who participated in the double-blind review to the number of people who applied for dissertation defense in that year: doctoral students 100%, each submitting three copies; Master students (including those applying for equivalent academic degrees) shall be submitted for examination in duplicate according to the regulations of the school.

2. According to the distribution of disciplines and professional graduate students who apply for dissertation defense every year, graduate department formulates a blind test plan and submits it to the principal in charge for approval.

3. According to the blind trial scheme, graduate department draws up the list of graduate students who need to be blind-audited, and after checking with the list of graduate students who apply for thesis defense, informs me and the college to which the subject belongs to be blind-audited.

4. Graduate students who have been drawn out to participate in the blind test should make papers in the prescribed format (the names of authors and tutors are hidden) within two days after receiving the notice. The master's thesis is in duplicate, and the doctoral thesis is in triplicate, which should be submitted to the Graduate Office.
