Plagiarism detection index system is divided into two parts: …

Total detection index

Generally, dissertations are large in length and many in words, ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 words for master's dissertations to more than 100,000 words for doctoral dissertations. Therefore, in order to give users a quick overview of the whole paper, the following indexing system is formulated:

L total overlapping words

L total text copy ratio

L total number of characters

L number of suspicious chapters)

L total number of chapters

The above indicators describe the detection of paper as a whole, which is convenient for users to quickly understand the overall detection of paper. The above indicators are explained below.

Total number of coincident words

Dissertations are generally large in length, ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 words to more than 100,000 words. It is not appropriate to measure the text overlap of a paper by the text replication rate. Because a doctoral thesis with more than 100000 words, 10% has reached 10000 words, and the situation of text reproduction has become very serious. Therefore, for the detection of doctoral and master's dissertations, the detection system adopts the absolute number of words, that is, the total number of overlapping words, as the core index of the detection results. As shown in Figure 6:

Total text copy ratio

The total text reproduction rate refers to the ratio of the total number of overlapping words in the dissertation to the total number of words in the dissertation. Through this index, we can intuitively understand the proportion of overlapping words in the detection papers.

Total number of characters

The total number of words refers to all the words contained in the test paper, and the product of the word reproduction rate and the total number of words is the overlapping number of words.

Number of suspicious chapters (QCA) and total chapters (TCA)

The number of suspected chapters is the number of chapters suspected of academic misconduct in the paper. The total number of chapters refers to the total number of chapters in a degree thesis (for a thesis that is not displayed by chapters but divided by a fixed length, each paragraph is a chapter).

Number of overlapping characters at the beginning (HCCA) and number of overlapping characters at the end (ECCA)

The number of first overlapping words refers to the number of overlapping words in the first 6.5438+0 million words of a dissertation. The number of overlapping characters at the end refers to the number of overlapping characters except the first 6.5438+0 million characters. For a paper, the beginning is generally a comprehensive report introduction, which is far less important than the end of the paper.
