The call of the sea

All life originates from the ocean, and human beings are no exception. The ocean is the hometown of life and the most important ecological resource for human beings. No matter from the emotional tendency or practical needs, the ocean is the closest friend of mankind.

China is rich in marine resources, various seafood, energy and minerals. This is a precious wealth given to us by nature, which plays an irreplaceable fundamental role in the current rapid economic growth in China. However, considering the population, coastline length and land area, China is relatively short of marine resources. Therefore, it deserves our vigorous protection and rational development.

Most of our earth is covered by sea water. The total surface area of the earth is about 5 100 million square kilometers, and the ocean area accounts for 36 100 million square kilometers. It is said that the ocean is divided into seven parts and the land is divided into three parts. It may be a fallacy to say that our planet is "Earth". The ocean occupies more than half of the earth, and its rivers are distributed all over the world, giving birth to ancient human civilization. For example, ancient Babylon originated from the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Ancient China originated from the Yellow River; Ancient India originated in the Indus and Ganges rivers; Ancient Egypt originated from the Nile.

Walking in the ocean has a long history. In his long history, heroes were born in his stormy waves, stories took place in his infancy, and wars broke out in his arms. Zheng He, a navigator in China in the early Ming Dynasty, was ordered to lead his fleet to the Western Ocean for seven times from the third year of Yongle to the eighth year of Xuande, and visited more than 30 countries and regions along the coast of Asia and Africa, as far away as Malin Land on the east coast of Africa (now Kenya), which was a pioneering work in the history of world navigation. The famous Maritime Silk Road was born in the Han Dynasty, which was a sea passage for transportation, trade and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in ancient times. In modern times, the Opium War and the Sino-Japanese War broke out at sea, resulting in huge losses.

Take the ocean as an example. The ocean has a great influence on nature and the progress of human civilization and society. The historical process of the development of human society has always been closely related to the ocean. No one does not think that human civilization and progress directly benefit from the ocean. Aircraft carriers, submarines, these are the maritime skills of powerful countries, but they still depend on the ocean. Prosperity at sea, peace and prosperity. Only when the sea power is strong can the country be rich and strong and the people be happy. As the saying goes, the ocean prospers, everything prospers and the country prospers.

The ocean contains countless wealth, which is the foundation of human existence, the first treasure of the earth and the necessary condition for the harmonious development of nature. We depend on the ocean and live by it. We should protect the ocean and make rational use of marine resources. However, I have seen people throw rubbish into the sea; I once heard that there was a "continent" made of garbage on the sea, which shows how people destroyed the ocean! The ocean is like the heart of the earth. All rivers are the veins of the ocean, which are distributed all over the world and flow in people's bodies like red blood.

Without the ocean, human beings can't survive. If human beings leave the ocean, they will not survive; If humans leave the ocean, they will not enjoy the beauty of the sea; If humans leave the ocean, navigation will also fail; If humans leave the ocean, there will be no sapphire blue on the earth; If humans leave the ocean, the earth will no longer be beautiful.

Let us remember what a philosopher once said: the ocean has nurtured us, and we should thank it. As descendants in the original cradle of life, our smooth skin, blood in blood vessels and water circulating in the body all belong to the ocean, and we are only a part of it!
