What is the example method in literature?
Example method is an argument method, which clarifies the viewpoint in an article and then gives concrete examples to prove the viewpoint.

function

Examples are the most widely used in argumentative writing. It is also an effective reasoning method. Because no point of view can exist in isolation, facts speak louder than words, and proving the point of view with conclusive and typical facts will enhance the persuasiveness of the article, so the general argument adopts the method of examples.

The following problems should be paid attention to when using the example method.

1, you can't just put examples behind arguments without revealing the internal relations between them. Without sufficient analysis and reasoning, it is impossible to explain your own views clearly, and the article will become simplified and lack internal logical power. After stating the facts, you need to be reasonable.

2. The cases selected in case law must be true and typical, otherwise it can't explain the problem.

3. This is an argument method from material to viewpoint, from individual to general, and it is a form of reasoning that concludes the same conclusion from the analysis and research of many individual things. Using this method, it is generally divided into two parts, that is, directly putting forward the topic, then demonstrating the argument layer by layer with materials around the topic, and finally summing up the conclusion. This structural method is more in line with the law of human thinking and cognition. There are two forms of enumerating facts when using fact argument, namely, summarizing the whole facts and enumerating individual facts. The persuasiveness of summarizing the whole facts lies in the universality embodied in the facts, and it is a comprehensive statistics or summary of the whole facts or the overall situation. The demonstration method of enumerating individual cases does not need comprehensive consideration, just enumerating several cases. Examples need to be typical, at the same time, we should give consideration to economic principles and try not to repeat the same kind.

4. When analyzing the example method, the reader must know from which aspect, level and angle the facts cited by the author prove the central argument, and understand its internal relationship with the central argument.
