In March 2002, with the approval of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, four vocational schools directly under the former Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Transportation were integrated to form Tianjin Vocational College of Transportation, which belongs to Tianjin Transportation Group.
College is the national training base for skilled talents in the field of "automobile application engineering" and the first demonstration base of bar code laboratory in colleges and universities in China. In June, 2007, after the evaluation of Tianjin Education Commission and Finance Bureau, the college was identified as the first batch of "Tianjin Demonstration Vocational College Construction Project".
In the practice of running a school, the college has always adhered to the motto of "Every day is a masterpiece", adhered to the school-running policy of "running the college well, highlighting its characteristics, serving the society and pioneering and innovating", based on transportation, serving the regional economy and cultivating high-quality skilled talents for the society. The college covers an area of 702 mu, with a construction area of 6.5438+0.74 million square meters and assets of nearly 300 million. Among them, the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is more than 40 million yuan, there are 48 experimental training rooms on campus and 28 off-campus training bases/kloc-0. There are 7605 full-time vocational students from 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. At present, there are 363 full-time teachers (including 256 professional teachers) and 90 part-time teachers/kloc-0. More than 70% of the teachers meet the requirements of double-qualified teachers. The college has 2 national experts in the evaluation of talent training level in higher vocational colleges, 3 professional leaders from the Ministry of Communications, Tianjin famous teachers 1 and Tianjin excellent teaching team 1.
The college always adheres to the employment orientation, takes the specialty construction as the leader, takes the school-enterprise cooperation and work-study combination as the platform, and innovates the talent training mode of "market-driven integration of four industries". Relying on the Transportation Group, we actively explored the deep integration between schools and enterprises, and trained a large number of high-quality skilled talents for the development of Tianjin's transportation industry. And with Tianjin Communications Group Binhai Co., Ltd., Suning Appliance Co., Ltd., FAW Toyota Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., Bosch Trade (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and many other enterprises to carry out school-enterprise cooperation.
