Chapter 1: the application of medical ethics in reproductive medicine teaching

In recent years, influenced by social factors such as late marriage and late childbearing, environmental pollution and bad living habits, the incidence of infertility in China has increased year by year, and high-quality reproductive medicine professionals are urgently needed. As a comprehensive science involving embryology, developmental biology, cell biology, genetics, obstetrics and gynecology, andrology and other disciplines, there are not many institutions offering specialized reproductive medicine degree authorization points at present, and most of them are a professional direction under obstetrics and gynecology. However, the original teaching methods of obstetrics and gynecology are not completely suitable for the cultivation of reproductive medicine talents. How to better train reproductive medicine professionals and technicians is a difficult point in reproductive medicine teaching at present.

Different from traditional subjects, the clinical application of human assisted reproductive technology has brought new contents and challenges to medical ethics. In order to promote the standardized application of ART in clinical infertility treatment, the relevant administrative departments of the state promulgated the Administrative Measures for Human Assisted Reproductive Technology in 20001,in which the ethical principles of implementing human assisted reproductive technology were issued as an independent document, emphasizing the importance of medical ethics in clinical practice of infertility treatment. Since 20 13, our department has tried to increase the teaching content of reproductive medical ethics when training graduate students, and evaluated the teaching effect through questionnaire survey. The following briefly expounds our teaching methods and teaching experience, in order to provide new ideas and methods for promoting the teaching reform of reproductive medicine.
