First, "Situation and Policy" education status analysis
Situation and Policy is an important part of ideological and moral course in colleges and universities, and it is also an important way to carry out ideological and political education for college students. Its teaching content includes two parts: situation and policy. The situation is the situation and trend of international and domestic social, political and economic development. Policy is a code of conduct formulated by the party and the state to achieve the goals and tasks in a certain period. The formulation of policies should be based on the situation at home and abroad, and the development and change of the situation will inevitably lead to the corresponding adjustment of policies. College students in the era of constant change may take detours, go the wrong way or even die if they do not have an accurate understanding and grasp of the situation and policies and have no vision of the motherland and the world. It is difficult for them to succeed. Wu Renbao, the old secretary of Huaxi Village, the richest village in China and the world's first village, led the villagers to get rich-"both sides understand" and "both sides are consistent", that is, to understand the major policies of the party and the state and the actual work in the local area, and to be consistent with the central authorities and the people. The experience of getting rich in Huaxi Village shows the extreme importance of correctly understanding the situation and accurately grasping the policy. Contemporary college students are active in thinking and eager to become talents. They pay attention to the changing trend of the situation and policies, actively think about the fate of the country and their social roles, and care about the country, family and their own development prospects, which fully shows that college students also have the inherent need to learn to judge the situation and grasp the policies. But from the teaching practice, the effect is not ideal, and there are some outstanding problems.
(A) several pairs of contradictions in the situation and policy education
1. The contradiction between internal demand and actual effect
College students have great enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge for correctly understanding major international and domestic events and deeply analyzing hot spots and focus issues that are widely concerned in social life. They have high expectations for the course Situation and Policy. However, from the actual effect, some colleges and universities do not pay enough attention to the situation and policy education of college students, and think that the situation and policy education is dispensable, and it is often set as a non-classroom teaching link, which often becomes a mere formality and cannot solve students' doubts. Students will only flinch from this form of education.
2. The contradiction between complex situation and single method
With the development trend of economic globalization, political multipolarization, cultural diversification and information networking, the international and domestic situation has become extremely complicated, which is influencing the thoughts of young college students in various channels and in all directions all the time. How to guide inexperienced college students to correctly understand the situation in the colorful real world, so that they can integrate knowledge and practice and establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values regardless of the changing international situation or surging social thoughts, is a very difficult problem for universities. However, judging from the measures to deal with the complex situation, the intensity is obviously insufficient. The way to carry out situation and policy education is single, mainly classroom teaching. Even some colleges only give lectures and report current affairs several times, which is neither targeted nor can guarantee the universality and regularity of education, and the effect can be imagined.
3. The contradiction between changeable current affairs and unstable teachers
We are in contact with the situation and policy every day, and it is also developing and changing every day. In order to tell the difficult, hot and deep-seated problems well, teachers need to do a lot of practical research and comparison, accumulate and update a lot of knowledge, which requires teachers to devote themselves to research and enrich the teaching content with the times. From the perspective of teaching practice, the course "Situation and Policy" is often held by teachers of "Two Courses" or school administrators. Because of the lack of attention to status, the limitation of teachers' energy, the lack of information, the teaching content is divorced from reality and empty, the students of this course will definitely not like it.
(B) New opportunities and challenges brought by the new situation in the new period to the education of "Situation and Policy"
1. The international and domestic situation is complex and changeable, and there are many hot spots, which greatly enriches the content of the situation and policy education course, increases the interest in teaching and learning, and enables teachers and students to interact and learn from each other. The educational effect will be significantly improved. Especially today, with the rapid development of information technology and the continuous expansion of the Internet, the differences and distances between time and space are no longer insurmountable. In addition to listening to the teacher in class, students can also freely grab information, travel around the world and broaden their horizons in another all-encompassing "virtual school"-the Internet. Moreover, in the network ideological and political education, the subject of education is no longer subjective, and they no longer "instill" ideas from above, but create, spread, monitor and impart network information to the educational object-students through the Internet. However, the free and direct dissemination of network information sometimes inevitably leads to "mud and sand". Some primitive, unprocessed, artificially distorted, confusing and divisive information and some unhealthy information pictures will take the opportunity to occupy people's thoughts, make interviewees have wrong thoughts and behaviors, and bring new challenges to college students' situation and policy education. 2. The diversification of socio-economic components and economic interests, jobs and ways, social organization structure and forms, and social life style have greatly changed the objective environment and objects faced by situation and policy education: people's competition, interests and legal concepts have been continuously enhanced, and their awareness of autonomy, democracy and equality has been continuously improved. However, in today's "diversification", the mentality of educational objects has also changed, which is manifested in the following aspects: First, from paying attention to society to paying more attention to oneself, the cognitive style pays attention to intuition; Second, from paying attention to life to paying more attention to survival, value judgment pays attention to self. Students are more concerned about their quality of life tomorrow than yesterday. Therefore, students' expectation of teaching reform and their desire to enhance their own value are increasingly urgent. This not only puts forward the urgency of the correct orientation of situation and policy education, but also puts forward the requirements of the innovation of situation and policy education.
3. The development of Internet technology provides a possible tool and environment for the realization of interactive teaching. In this new technological environment, educators only provide a new way of learning-seeking information. In this sense, due to the influence of the Internet, the meaning of learning itself will change. Learning is no longer a combination of understanding and knowledge, but only the acquisition of information. In the long run, students use information instead of knowledge, only learn to retrieve and recite online information, and no longer learn how to cultivate the ability of independent thinking and analysis. Over time, knowledge is poor, analytical ability is low and value orientation is uncertain.
Second, countermeasures to strengthen the "situation and policy" education of college students
(A) teaching content should adhere to the principle of "precision" and "efficiency", pay attention to the foundation, grasp the key points, and highlight the main theme.
"Refinement" requires highlighting the key points in content selection, and extracting the hot spots, difficulties and deep-seated ideological problems that are most suitable for the development of the current situation and students want to know as the content to be talked about; Avoid covering everything, explain the selected content thoroughly, so that students can understand and learn to use it. It is absolutely necessary to study, study and publicize Marxist theory, arm young students with the advanced theory of China Marxism, and strengthen the education of socialist orientation and road belief. However, the new situation requires us to pay full attention to and earnestly strengthen the education of basic ideas such as world outlook, outlook on life and values, as well as basic moral concepts, legal concepts and discipline concepts. "Effective" means to arrange the teaching content in a targeted way from the social reality and students' reality, so that students can really benefit from learning in their ideological understanding and avoid boring theoretical preaching. Through the course of situation policy, students can really be attracted to care about national affairs and social development, which can unify their thoughts, cheer up their voices, cheer up their spirits, and improve their understanding and ideological consciousness.
(b) Teaching forms and methods should be flexible and innovative.
The situation policy class should carry out more activities such as news commentary, situation analysis and discussion, and exchange and evaluation of information papers. First, pay attention to interactive inquiry. Teachers should really understand the object of education and pay attention to students' ideological reality. Contemporary college students are active and independent, and the channels for obtaining knowledge and information are diversified. Teachers should comprehensively and objectively analyze students' ideological status, grasp their ideological and psychological characteristics, and aim at students' vague understanding of some major "situations and policies" in teaching.
