1. Tail tooth (December 16th of the lunar calendar)

As a tail tooth, it is a thank-you for the blessing of the land public for the bumper harvest and prosperous business of believers, so it will be more grand than usual.

The bosses of the company line number will reward their employees in the company, at home or in the restaurant as a reward for their hard work over the past year. In the old society, usually at the end of the year, landlords would reward long-term workers.

2. Mid-Autumn Festival cake (August 15th of the lunar calendar)

Xiamen people pay special attention to the Mid-Autumn Festival. In addition to enjoying the moon and eating moon cakes all over the country, there is also a local folk activity that plays cakes to win the championship. When Zheng Chenggong was stationed in Xiamen, the soldiers began to miss their families around the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In order to inspire the soldiers' fighting spirit, Xu Hongbu skillfully set up the "Mid-Autumn Festival Pancake Champion", using six dice and a bowl to let the soldiers roll the dice in turn. According to the number of dice and red beans, you can get the first place, the second place, the flower exploration, the scholar, the juren and the scholar.

All six dice are 4, which can cover all the moon cakes on the table. All six dice except four are numbers. Turn off the lights and grab moon cakes. This custom has been circulating among the people in Xiamen.

On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, every family will have this fun-filled activity. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival, cake shops in Xiamen produced a large number of social cakes, including pies, Cantonese cakes, biscuits or a combination of the three.

3. Chai Touhui (the sixth day of the second lunar month every year)

Chai Touhui is a sales meeting of agricultural tools and daily necessities with bamboo poles and sticks as tools. It is one of the larger folk activities in Fujian Province and originated from the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement.

The county government prohibits farmers from carrying weapons and ironware into the city, and only bamboo sticks and sticks are allowed. In order to oppose slavery and oppression, local farmers boycotted taxes.

Under the leadership of Chen, an uprising was held on the sixth day of February. People rushed into the county government with sticks, poles and bamboo forks and ended in victory. Later, in order to commemorate this victory, people will hold a firewood meeting on the sixth day of the second lunar month every year.

4. Pill rubbing in the winter festival (winter solstice of the lunar calendar)

Fuzhou's unique traditional seasonal customs symbolize family reunion. On the night before the winter solstice, people will display auspicious offerings in front of the ancestral hall, such as Zanhua Shoumian.

There is a bamboo basket on the desktop, which is filled with glutinous rice flour and decorated with oranges, red baskets and flowers of the four seasons. Then the whole family sat around the bamboo basket, rubbing pills and singing children's songs. There are two kinds of rubbing pills: rubbing balls and rubbing strips, which are rubbed into different shapes.

Adults like to pinch auspicious items such as peaches and bats; Adults applaud what children pinch. For example, if you pinch a dog, you can sing "Dogs invest money", and if you pinch a turtle, you can sing "Guishou". Boil the kneaded pills and eat them with bean jelly.

Step 5 prepare for the festival

Before the festival, we should finish sweeping the dust, removing and washing bedclothes and mosquito nets, cooking rice cakes and fruits, buying clothes for adults and children, organizing offerings and new year's goods for "respecting God, Buddha and mother", asking teachers to write Spring Festival couplets, and some even "burning annuities" in temples.
