Xiangsihu University for Nationalities (hereinafter referred to as Xiangsihu University for Nationalities), an independent college confirmed by the Ministry of Education, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning that implements undergraduate education.
College was established in April 2002, formerly known as Xiangsihu College of Guangxi University for Nationalities. In February 2004, it became a full-time undergraduate college (independent college) with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In March 2006, the Ministry of Education agreed that Xiangsihu College of Guangxi University for Nationalities should be renamed Xiangsihu College of Guangxi University for Nationalities.
The school currently has three campuses, among which Xiangsihu Campus is located atNo. 1, the northern section of Pengfei Road, Nanning, covering an area of 300 mu, with a built-up campus building area of143,200 square meters. The teaching infrastructure is complete, with 76 multimedia classrooms, 5 multimedia digital language laboratories 15, 4 computer laboratories, 54 professional laboratories, 84 off-campus practice and training bases, 2,209 teaching computers, 917,800 books in the library and 8 10000 e-books. The college gymnasium covers an area of 30,000 square meters. Wuming Campus is located in Nanning Education Park, Wuming District, Nanning, covering an area of 468 mu, and various constructions are under way. Qipo Forest Farm Campus is located in the south of Yingpan Station, Youyi Road, Jiangnan District, Nanning, with a construction land of 2,000 mu. After the completion of Qipo Forest Farm Campus, the whole school moved to Qipo Forest Farm Campus.
The school has a team of young teachers who are enthusiastic about higher education. By February 2020, there are 640 full-time and part-time teachers, including 2 15 teachers with the title of associate professor or above and 404 teachers with master's degree or above. 1 person was selected as the "Support Program for Excellent Talents of Ideological and Political Education in Guangxi Universities", and 1 person was selected as the preferred funding program for outstanding young and middle-aged ideological and political theory teachers in Guangxi universities. 19 people were selected as outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship instructors at the autonomous region level. In recent years, the full-time teachers in our school have obtained the national scientific research project 1, 49 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and 153 departmental scientific research projects, published 46 monographs (including teaching materials) and published more than 1000 papers.
