"Statistics from Yunnan Ruili Border Inspection Station show that since the beginning of this year, there have been more than 5 million inbound and outbound passengers at Ruili Port, with1140,000 vehicles, up by 12.97% and 27.4% respectively over the same period last year. Liu Jiming, deputy stationmaster of Ruili Frontier Inspection Station, said that since the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the traffic of people and vehicles entering and leaving Ruili Port in Yunnan has increased significantly.
Liu Jiming: The establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has strongly promoted the leap-forward development of Ruili border trade, and also made the flow of people and cars entering and leaving Ruili Port increase sharply.
In the first seven months of this year, the traffic volume of people and vehicles entering and leaving Ruili Port in Yunnan accounted for more than 40% and 50% of the province respectively, leading Yunnan land port with "double incidents". In the face of the ever-increasing inbound and outbound traffic, Ruili Border Inspection Station quickly adjusted its service mode, and successively introduced a series of new measures to facilitate people, such as stopping port charges, adding green channels, 24-hour customs clearance and simplifying customs clearance procedures, and actively created a fast and harmonious customs clearance environment for the development of the free trade zone. At present, the customs clearance efficiency of Ruili Port has been greatly improved.
We have shortened the customs clearance time of a car from 55 seconds to 34 seconds now, and the customs clearance time of an ordinary passenger does not exceed 15 seconds. Through evaluation, the satisfaction rate of entry-exit passengers to our border inspection service reached 99.98%.
