This paper focuses on the importance of professional ethics, the basic norms of professional ethics and how to strengthen professional ethics cultivation, so as to guide college students to continuously improve their professional ethics cultivation level and move towards a higher professional ethics level.
Professional ethics is a specific code of conduct that people engaged in a certain profession should follow in their specific work and labor, and it is a special form and an important supplement to the general social moral principles and norms. The basic characteristics of professional ethics: in scope, it exists among people engaged in certain occupations and is the further development of moral concepts formed under the influence of family and school education; In content, it has greater stability and continuity, forming a relatively stable professional psychology and professional habits; In form, it is concrete, diverse and applicable. Good professional ethics is conducive to people's forming good moral habits, promoting the stable development of social life and the development of two civilizations under socialist conditions.
First, the importance of professional ethics
(1) Promoting the development of socialist economy The cause of socialist modernization is a complex and coordinated whole, and all walks of life are closely related to modernization. The work efficiency and attitude of each industry directly affect the pace of modernization. Only by improving work efficiency, service quality and product quality and establishing a harmonious relationship with each other can we improve the speed of socialized mass production.
(b) Ensure the formation of good social customs. The quality of social customs is often shown through the "window" of professional customs in all walks of life. The ethos of all walks of life is the total embodiment of employees' moral level and moral outlook, while the social ethos of the whole society is a comprehensive reflection of the moral level and moral outlook of all walks of life. The construction of socialist professional ethics with serving the people as the core is a powerful ideological weapon to promote the improvement, consolidation and development of social customs.
As long as all walks of life stress professional ethics and run through their actions, there will be good factory spirit, good shop spirit, good hospital spirit, good school spirit and so on. All walks of life have a good atmosphere and have formed a good atmosphere in the whole society. In addition, from the current social situation, the most effective way to correct unhealthy practices in the industry, fight corruption and promote honesty is to strengthen the education of socialist professional ethics and let the people of the whole country establish the idea of serving the people. Everyone starts from himself, and each industry starts from his own industry, forming a general climate in which all walks of life stress professional ethics everywhere and always serve the people. If so, a good socialist social fashion will be formed.
(3) Promote the improvement of employees' basic quality. A qualified employee certainly needs to master certain professional skills and work skills, but the key to due diligence lies in professional ethics. Socialist professional ethics can help people set up their ideals, strengthen their beliefs, and stimulate their enthusiasm, enterprising spirit and sense of ownership, so as to consciously learn business reform and innovation, improve efficiency, abide by the law, be honest and clean, and become qualified talents in building socialist modernization.
Second, the basic norms of professional ethics
The basic norms of professional ethics are the concretization of professional ethics principles and the behavioral requirements that employees should abide by within the professional scope. They adjust the interest relationship between individuals and others, the collective and society in professional activities, which is the basic professional ethics that employees in all walks of life should follow at this stage in China.
(a), love their jobs, dedication is to love what they are doing, faithfully perform their duties, only those who love their jobs, it is possible to have a sense of pride and honor for their work, will do their best to perform their duties, people call the spirit embodied in this moral phenomenon professionalism. Practitioners are not born to be dedicated. They always have a process, never knowing what they are doing, never being satisfied with what they are doing, never loving what they are doing, and finally reaching the realm of devoting themselves to their professional activities.
(2) Honesty and trustworthiness, equal competition, honesty and trustworthiness is to match words with deeds. Equal competition means that people who participate in market activities are equal before the market regardless of their social status, that is, they face the same conditions, enjoy the same rights, perform the same obligations and are at the same starting point of competition.
With the development of socialist market economy, market competition is becoming more and more fierce. In the face of competition, both employees themselves and the departments they serve should act in accordance with laws and professional ethics, otherwise unfair competition will occur, leading to disorder of market activities and chaos of social and economic activities.
(3) Fairness, honesty and self-discipline. Fairness, honesty and self-discipline means that employees should be fair and just, distinguish between public and private, and restrain their own behavior when exercising their professional rights. This moral requirement is to advocate employees to be impartial, unselfish, self-denial, unselfish, consciously safeguard public interests and resist unhealthy trends in the industry. "Always walk by the river, that is, don't wet your shoes." In particular, employees with certain powers, if they can be fair, honest and self-disciplined, can not only safeguard public interests, enterprise interests and social interests, but also purify social atmosphere and promote the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
(IV) Taking care of the overall situation Unity and cooperation The so-called taking care of the overall situation means that employees should first establish collectivism and the concept of the overall situation when dealing with the relations between units and departments, as well as the relations between internal leaders of units and departments and cadres and the masses. They should pay attention to the interests of their own units, departments and small collectives in the region, but they should not harm the legitimate interests of other units, departments and regions, or even the interests of the country and the people. Unity and cooperation refers to the activities that employees and units support and help each other under the same interests and goals. Taking the overall situation into consideration, unity and cooperation are the criteria for dealing with the relations within and between units. Whether we can focus on the overall situation and do a good job of unity and cooperation has a great influence on promoting enterprise progress, social prosperity and realizing personal interests.
(5) Pay attention to benefits and contribute to the society. Paying attention to benefits means that employees should make rational use of labor time in their daily work and achieve greater economic and social benefits with less consumption; Dedication to the society refers to the act of voluntarily dedicating one's physical strength, intelligence, financial resources and even life to the society when the society needs it. The moral quality of employees should ultimately be reflected in the fruits of their labor. Whether you can create more material wealth and spiritual wealth in the working hours of the unit and whether you can devote your limited life to the infinite process of serving the people is an important criterion for judging the moral quality of employees.
At present, the biggest politics in our country is to realize socialist modernization. The most important content of social morality in China is to create material wealth and spiritual wealth for the society faster and better. If you have morality, you must do something, and those who do something are truly moral people. An individual's life belongs to himself and to society. The statement that belongs only to oneself is fragile, and the life that belongs to society is strong and vigorous. It is the highest moral pursuit of China people across the century to devote their youth, blood and all their talents to make a difference in the tide of reform and opening up. Whether we are an ordinary employee or in a high position in the future, we should integrate our personal life with a thriving career and a thriving society. Only in this way can our career shine forever.
Third, how to strengthen professional ethics.
(a), establish self-confidence, self-cultivation consciously and independently. Conscience is very important in the cultivation of professional ethics. Once people have awareness, they can pay attention everywhere in moral activities, always remind themselves, be strict with themselves and improve their professional ethics. Kant, a great German philosopher, lived 80 years and devoted his life to philosophy. He walks out of his unpretentious study every day and goes to the university, busy with his philosophical research. The law of life has never changed a bit, and he has really done it for decades. He controls "time" like a scientist, and every minute is not bad. He must get up at 5 o'clock every morning and go to bed at night 10. This strict living habit that he has always adhered to. Kant's habit of strictly controlling time lies in his strong self-control ability and self-discipline consciousness. Once a good habit is formed, it is a lifelong capital; On the contrary, bad habits will become the fetters of life and hinder their own development. A person who likes to sleep with his head covered all day. It is impossible to achieve his career in a dream.
College students are at the crossroads of life, and their self-management and restraint abilities are relatively poor, but they are highly malleable. If we can cultivate the soil of professional ethics from our own heart and establish a long-term self-restraint mechanism. . You will love your job, be modest and courteous in your work, be strict with yourself and be lenient with others; Emotionally, I am proud of making more contributions to society, and take pleasure in bringing happiness to society and others through my own labor achievements, so as to better improve my professional ethics in self-education.
(2) Learning professional ethics theory and participating in social practice. The combination of learning professional ethics theory and participating in social practice activities is the fundamental way to improve professional ethics cultivation. To study theory, we must first study Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Theory of Three Represents. Only by learning and mastering scientific theories can we adhere to the correct direction of professional ethics training. Secondly, we should learn the basic theories and principles of professional ethics, clarify the purpose, direction and principles of professional ethics, improve the initiative and consciousness of professional ethics cultivation, cultivate corresponding professional ethics emotions, wills and beliefs, and form good professional ethics behavior habits. Practice has proved that the better college students study at school, the deeper their experience, the better their performance at work, the more in line with professional ethics and can guide social practice well.
Participating in social practice is the fundamental way to improve professional ethics. People's moral quality is not innate. It is gradually formed and developed in long-term social practice, and practice is the source of people's moral quality. It is also the purpose and destination of professional ethics training. Only on the basis of studying the theory of professional ethics, college students are constantly integrated into the society, and their own learning is linked with social practice, can they have a deeper understanding of their own values, correctly examine their own shortcomings, exercise themselves in social practice, cultivate themselves, improve themselves, and finally improve their professional ethics.
(3) Learn from the professional model figures emerging in the new period and the role models around them. In the new era, the construction of socialist spiritual civilization is in a positive and healthy trend, and the spirit of serving the people is increasingly carried forward. Gratifying changes have taken place in social professional ethics, and models such as Wang Qimin, Xu Hu, Qiu Eguo, Li Suli and Xu Zhenchao have emerged, which set an example for us to cultivate socialist professional ethics. College students should not only learn from these role models, but also learn from teachers, classmates and factory owners around them, learn their strengths, overcome their own shortcomings and raise their professional ethics to a new height.
(4) Consciously introspect, proceed with caution. "introspection" means inner introspection and introspection, getting rid of selfish distractions, making one's words and deeds conform to the requirements of moral norms and establishing correct moral concepts. Only when a person dissects himself strictly in his heart and is good at reflecting on himself in his behavior can he become a person with noble professional ethics in line with the spirit of the times. While improving moral cultivation, college students should always "introspect", be good at knowing themselves, be brave in facing up to their own shortcomings, be brave in self-criticism and self-review, and be determined to improve their own shortcomings, foster strengths and avoid weaknesses, and constantly improve their professional ethics in practice. This is what the ancients said.
"Being cautious and independent" means working independently without supervision, acting on one's own, remaining cautious in observing moral principles and not doing bad things. It is a unique category in the history of China's ethical thought, which is not only a method of moral cultivation, but also a lofty realm achieved in cultivation. Confucius? "The Doctrine of the Mean" wrote: "Those who are Tao can't leave for a moment, but they can leave Tao. So a gentleman is wary of what he can't see, and fear is almost unheard of. If you don't see it, you don't show it, so the gentleman is cautious. " The general idea is that a moral person should be cautious when others are not looking, alert when others are not listening, and don't think he can do it just because of concealment and small mistakes. Therefore, when you are alone, you should also be cautious, beware of procrastination, know yourself, love yourself and grasp yourself. There is a Sizhi Temple in Shandong, which is said to commemorate Yang Cheng, a famous minister in the Eastern Han Dynasty. On his way to Donglai Prefecture, Yang Cheng passed by Wang Mi, the county magistrate of Changyi County, and delivered 10 Jin of gold alone late at night. Yang Cheng was very angry and complained that Wang Mi should not do this. The king said that no one knows at night. Yang Cheng was angry and said, "Heaven knows the earth, you know me. What is an ignorant person? " Hearing this, Wang Mi left in shame. Yang Cheng's story is "cautious independence" in moral cultivation. As contemporary college students, whether they can be "cautious and independent" and to what extent "cautious and independent" is an important yardstick to measure whether they insist on self-cultivation and achieve great success in self-cultivation. "Cautious independence" is not only about doing things according to professional ethics in front of others and leaders, but also doing good things consciously without others knowing. Only in this way can we always keep a clear head, stand all kinds of tests, abide by professional ethics as an example, and be a new type of worker with noble professional ethics.
(5) Start from small things, start from now and step by step. Mencius was one of the most influential thinkers in ancient China. He had a profound exposition on the methods of moral cultivation and the cultivation of noble moral feelings. In his view, it is not a profound thing to cultivate one's self-cultivation and noble spirit. Instead, we should start from the things around us and closely combine the cultivation of inner virtue with real life to avoid unrealistic empty talk. College students are in a good period to cultivate good professional ethics and skills. Only in ordinary daily study and life, starting from small things and through long-term accumulation, can we gradually cultivate and form excellent moral quality. Therefore, in moral cultivation, we should start from me and be strict with ourselves. We shouldn't forgive ourselves because others didn't do it, or we didn't do it ourselves. Nor can it be because there are unhealthy trends in society. There are many immoral phenomena, such as indulging yourself, forgiving yourself, and even relaxing the demands on yourself. On the contrary, we should have high standards and strict requirements and pursue a noble professional ethics. Only in this way can we consciously form moral habits and form good professional ethics beliefs and qualities.
At present, China is striving to build a socialist market economy. Great changes have taken place in people's ideological and moral concepts. The construction of professional ethics is facing a new situation and many new problems. Nevertheless, professional ethics cultivation is still an important aspect of professional ethics construction and plays an important role in the formation and development of personal moral quality. Society needs hundreds of millions of high-quality workers. As contemporary college students, we should bear the brunt, starting from me and starting from small things, and constantly improve our professional ethics and move towards a higher professional ethics level.
