People call it the first village in Leizhou Peninsula. Shell pier, Liyudun, located in the middle of Tiandong Village, the east corner of Jianghong Town, covers an area of about 1.500 square meters. It is named after the small pier shaped like carp piled with shells. In 2003 1 month, the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Suixi Museum jointly excavated and found five Neolithic cultural layers, two houses, eight buried limbs, broken pottery pieces with sand, stone hammers, stone anvil, polished and perforated small stone tools, pottery spinning wheels, bones and horns of wild animals such as cattle and deer, which were ground into round fishbones and shellfish. The ancestors of Liyudun, in the long-term struggle to conquer nature, left a lot of historical relics, created splendid ancient culture, and provided precious physical materials for the study of prehistoric culture in southwest Guangdong and the history of the Chinese nation.
Dongjiaojiao Village was designated as a county-level characteristic culture pilot village by the Propaganda Department of Suixi County Committee and Suixi County Cultural Bureau. Liyudun site has been designated as a municipal cultural relics protection unit. Jianghong Town Government regards Dongjiaojiao Village as the first batch of ecological civilized villages, making overall plans and mobilizing the masses to create them. Wu San, who is enthusiastic about public welfare in the village, took the lead in donating 700,000 yuan to build a cement hard-bottomed village road and two lotus ponds. A thousand-year-old tree in front of the village is specially allocated. Compared with ancient villages, the establishment of modern ecological civilization villages has an association that makes people think, recall and miss the past, and even evokes people's idea of creating modern civilization.
Second best: There is the whitest beach in Leizhou Peninsula.
When you have finished sightseeing in the first village of Leizhou Peninsula, you come to the port of Jianghong Town, opposite the Fairy Island, where the scenery is unique. You may be in a hurry to visit Xiandao by any means of transportation. Don't worry, the old fishermen here can help you. They will take you to Fairy Island by boat, and the transportation fee is only 0.5 yuan, which is the cheapest transportation fee in Leizhou Peninsula and even the whole country.
The beach around the island is about 4 kilometers long, just like a jade belt on a girl's shoulder. As the sea breeze flutters gently, the beach continues to extend to the sea. Walking on this beach makes people feel relaxed and happy. There are white beaches and well-protected coastal shelterbelts. Every year on the fifth day of May, during the Dragon Boat Festival, Jianghong Town Government will mobilize fishermen from various village (neighborhood) committees to participate in the competition. Chen Xiangdong, who loves his hometown, and many other villagers donated money for the event, and invited fishermen from Baimajing and Lingao coastal ports in Hainan and a dragon boat team from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to participate. Local villagers welcome guests from inside and outside the province with brown buns. People gathered at the dock to watch the comedy, and the whole port was as lively as the New Year.
