Personal introduction of member Wang
Wang is currently a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Party Secretary and Director of China Youth Research Center.

In May 2020, he was a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and secretary and director of the Party Group of China Youth Research Center. Wang brought two suggestions. First of all, he suggested setting up a "national epidemic prevention day" to enhance the epidemic prevention awareness and ecological safety awareness of the whole people. Second, he regards the implementation of the peasant retirement system as a prominent symbol of building a well-off society in an all-round way, so that farmers over 65 can "wash their feet and go to the fields to support the elderly" and fully enjoy the fruits of building a well-off society in an all-round way.

Brief introduction of member Wang's proposal:

Regardless of the outcome of the debate, this topic has aroused heated discussion, which shows that farmers' "old-age security" has been paid more and more attention. In recent years, remarkable changes have taken place in rural economy and society. More and more young people return to their hometowns to start businesses, so that they can not only exert their fists at home, but also take good care of the elderly and children. Rural medical care, pension and other social security networks are getting denser and stronger.

Although the urbanization rate of permanent residents in China has reached 60.6%, and the income gap between urban and rural residents is gradually narrowing, there is still a gap between the integration and equalization of urban and rural public services, which requires continuous efforts. This year is the closing year for comprehensively winning the battle against poverty and realizing the strategy of rural revitalization. With the full implementation of rural revitalization strategy, new urbanization and urban-rural integration, the problem of farmers' "old-age security" is expected to be better solved.
