Brief introduction of Zeng Gongxin
Zeng's "Gao Gong Shu" is the most widely circulated work of Zeng Guofan, a famous ZTE minister in the late Qing Dynasty, and it is a classic reader for the world to cultivate self-cultivation and teach children. This book is a simplified edition of the Year of Guangxu Ji Mao (1879) edited by Li Hongzhang and Li Brothers, and it is recognized as the most authoritative and classic version of Zeng Guofan's letters. This book is a collection of letters written by Zeng Guofan to his grandparents, parents, uncles, brothers, wives and children around the 20th year of Daoguang reign in Qing Dynasty (187 1), covering everything from trivial matters and family livelihood to studying in Germany and going abroad. On the basis of sorting out the letters from home, the original editor edited according to Zeng Guofan's life course. Where the letters from home are not enough to show the whole picture of his life, he also chose his own letters to friends and colleagues to supplement them, so that this book can fully present Zeng Guofan's life trajectory and ideological essence through his own words, so this book can also be read as Zeng Guofan's life narrative.
