Gloria Gloria macapagal arroyo, 1947, was born in the southwestern province of the Philippines, and is the daughter of former Philippine President diosdado macapagal. She studies in Assange Middle School. 1968 studied at Georgetown University in Washington. After returning to China, Arroyo continued her studies, and successively obtained a master's degree in economics from Manila University Association and a doctorate in economics from the University of the Philippines. After graduation, Arroyo taught in a university. 1in February, 986, after Marcos stepped down, Arroyo entered the cabinet of the new president, Mrs. Aquino, and served as assistant and deputy minister of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Arroyo was elected to the Senate twice in 1992 and 1995. 1In May 1998, he was elected as Vice President and Minister of Social Welfare and Development. 200 1 14 10 became the 14 th president of the Philippines. He won re-election in May 2004 and was sworn in on June 30th. Arroyo's husband, jose miguel Tucson Arroyo, is a lawyer and businessman. They have three children. Arroyo visited China as vice president in 2000, attended the informal meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Shanghai as president in 2006, and paid a state visit to China. In September 2004, he paid a state visit to China.
