Professor Xiao Shuyuan is very famous in China. Chairman of Pathology Branch of Hubei Medical Association, Director of Pathology Center of Wuhan University, and Director of Pathology Department of Chinese Medicine Hospital. He is also a Fogarty scholar at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a senior fellow at the National Research Foundation of the American Academy of Sciences. He presided over or participated in seven research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, completed the pioneering research in the field of molecular taxonomy of Hantavirus, and innovatively discovered the new application of CD 10 in the field of pathological diagnosis for the differential diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. Published more than 40 SCI academic papers/KLOC-0, monographs such as Liver Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology and Pathophysiology of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
