Wen Zhiming, a painter in Ming Dynasty: How did Wen Zhiming die as a famous historical figure?
Brief introduction of Wen Zhiming's life.

Wen Zhiming, also known as Wen Zhiming, was originally named Zheng Ming and later changed to Zhong Zheng. His ancestral home was in Hengshan, so he was also named a lay man in Hengshan. He was a famous painter and calligrapher in Ming Dynasty. He is not only the founder of Wu Pai, but also one of the four great talents in Jiangnan. At that time, he was a very famous figure, and he was famous all over the world as a writer.

When Wen Zhiming was young, it was not easy for him to become famous. In dynasties like the Ming and Qing Dynasties, candidates who passed examinations at all levels were called students, also known as scholars. When Wen Zhiming took the scholar's age test, he failed from a young age until he was 53. Until Wen Zhiming was 54 years old, with white hair, he was recommended to Beijing by Li Chongsi, then Minister of Industry. Then he passed the official examination and became imperial academy. His salary is very low, but at this time, Wen Zhiming's paintings and calligraphy works have become a minor celebrity among the people, so many people came to imperial academy to ask for his paintings and calligraphy, and he was also given the cold shoulder by his colleagues because of this matter.

Wen Zhiming is very unhappy in such a working environment. From the second year, he began to resign and asked for retirement. He applied three times before he was approved. At the age of 57, he left Beijing, took a boat to Suzhou, and began to create a life, no longer pursuing fame and fortune, and no longer stepping into his official career. He began to amuse himself with calligraphy and painting. In his later years, he became famous, and people came to buy and ask for his calligraphy and painting in an endless stream.

Wen Zhiming is the oldest of the four gifted scholars in the south of the Yangtze River. He didn't leave until he was 90. Even when he is old, he works hard and writes epitaphs for others. Until the last moment of his life, his attitude towards life was still sitting with a pen, which was really admirable.

Wen Zhiming is not only the founder of Wumen School, but also one of the four great talents in Jiangnan. He was a very famous figure at that time, and he was famous all over the world as a writer. Wen Zhiming's attainments in painting and calligraphy are beyond the reach of ordinary people, which can be said to be the pinnacle. There is no one who is not proficient in poetry, writing or painting, so he is called a four-stop genius.

Wen Zhiming's achievements in writing have to be attributed to his spirit of learning to live forever. Wen Zhiming copied money, copying 10 copies every day, and took it as the standard of practicing calligraphy. Later, his calligraphy really made great progress.

Wen Zhiming never neglected his writing all his life. Even when he answers letters from others, he is always meticulous. Revise it repeatedly if you are slightly dissatisfied, and never bother. It is this mentality that makes his font not only not degenerate, but constantly improve.

Although Wen Zhiming was brilliant, his Ming Dynasty was not valued by the emperor. When Wen Zhiming took the scholar's age test, he failed from a young age until he was 53.

Until Wen Zhiming was 54 years old and white-haired, he was recommended to Beijing by Li Chongsi, then the minister of the Ministry of Industry, and then passed the official examination to become imperial academy. His salary is very low, but his paintings are loved by many people, so he was pushed out by his colleagues and forced to resign and stay away from officialdom.
