He studied in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in his early years, and then studied with famous people in Beijing for three years. He studied under Wang Xuetao, Wu Changshuo and others, engaged in painting and calligraphy creation and theoretical research for many years, and was good at China landscape painting and flower-and-bird painting. The form of his works is often manifested as ink painting with "poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal" as a whole, with loose brushwork in the static place, floating aura, dull brushwork in the thick place and magnificent weather. His works were selected into large stacks such as 1996 China Contemporary Calligraphy Works, Cross-century Calligraphy Artists' Paintings and Calligraphy Works, and China Famous Works. After 1999, his paintings entered the art market and participated in the auctions held by Beijing Hanhai Art Auction Company, Pacific International Auction Company, Oriental International Auction Company and Beijing Guardian Online Auction Co., Ltd., and many fine works were collected by more than 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and overseas people.
In 2000, he created CD-ROM collections of China computer freehand brushwork Chinese painting, such as "Like a duck in water, attracting butterflies, flirting with flowers, rare birds and exotic fruits" and "Lingshan Xiushui", which were distributed in Taiwan Province Province and other places, causing a strong sensation in computer painting circles at home and abroad, and were called the first person of freehand brushwork Chinese painting in the digital electronic era.
