Liu Jiandong has been engaged in the teaching of electrical and electronic technology and computer foundation for many years, teaching courses such as Circuit Foundation, Analog Electronic Technology, Computer Programming Foundation and University Computer Foundation for undergraduates and Computer Security for postgraduates. He presided over a number of teaching reform topics, such as "Research and Practice of Computer Basic Teaching Reform in Colleges and Universities" and "Research and Practice of Computer Series Teaching Reform under the New Training Scheme", among which "Computer Basic Teaching Reform and Practice" won the second prize of school-level teaching achievements. In recent years, Liu Jiandong is mainly engaged in the research of information security, chaotic cryptography, chaotic circuits and their applications, and has presided over research projects such as "Synchronous chaotic circuits and their applications in secure communication systems", "Research on multimedia information encryption technology based on hyperchaotic mapping" and "Research on adaptive secure digital steganography theory and key technologies", and published more than 40 academic papers. Liu Jiandong 1998 was rated as an excellent teacher in Hebei province, and 1999 was rated as a young and middle-aged backbone teacher in Hebei province. In 2004, he was rated as an excellent teacher of Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology and won the Excellent Tutor Award of Beijing University Student Electronic Design Competition. In 2006, he won the excellent teaching award at the school level.
