Winter vacation (holiday) small topic research activity plan
20 12 winter vacation (holiday) small topic research activity plan

Student: OK! Happy winter vacation is coming, and we have to start studying colorful topics again!

In the past few holidays, students used their brains, studied hard, experienced the fun of research and gained knowledge and ability. Many students won the "Little Nobel Prize". Some time ago, the school bound all the research results of small topics in 20 10 and 20 1 1, and also selected 50 outstanding achievements to be published as "excellent works collection" for two years. At the Beijing Teaching Seminar held by our school on February 15, 65438, the students' research achievements were praised by more than 300 leaders, experts and teachers in the city, all of whom praised our classmates as excellent and characteristic dependent children! What's more, in this year's Jin Peng Science and Technology Forum Competition in Haidian District, 43 projects in our school signed up for the competition, almost all of which won prizes, and 22 projects participated in expert defense. Seven projects in our school have entered the Jin Peng Forum, and the number and overall level of participation are second to none among primary schools in the whole region. 20 12 February, the municipal forum will also evaluate the results, expecting the good news that the students of these seven projects won the prize. Why can you achieve such good results? In fact, this is inseparable from the foundation laid by the students in the study of holiday topics and comprehensive practice week. These students who participated in the competition, relying on their own research ability for several years, further studied and sorted out the results of small projects this summer, and with the guidance of teachers and parents, handed over a high-level research report. In addition to Jin Peng, the Science and Technology Innovation Competition and the Beijing Science and Innovation Award for Primary and Secondary School Students all focus on the study of natural and social life problems and inventions. Therefore, it can be said that doing a good job in holiday research can lay a solid foundation for a series of scientific and technological innovation competitions in the future. Students who are interested in this should make plans early.

So, how can we do a good job in winter vacation research?

First, choose a reasonable topic. The topic selection of small research is very important, and it should conform to the principle of "small, practical, near and new".

1, the topic should be "small".

For example, the topic of "garbage" is very big, which can be divided into several topics, such as "garbage generation", "garbage classification" and "garbage disposal", but these topics are still very big, and it is not easy to study them thoroughly, so we can continue to divide them down. Jiao Ziang, a student from Class 3 (8) of our school, chose the topic of "Investigation on the placement of trash cans in Century City Community", which not only delineated the small scope of surrounding communities, but also selected the placement of trash cans. The topic is small, suitable for the research level of middle-grade students, and easy to study in depth. This topic is very good.

The second (1 1) class Lu Tongyu's topic "Can white snowflakes be eaten?" The same topic is very small, which is a problem that students are more concerned about. He observed snowflakes with naked eyes and microscope, compared snow water with tap water, and measured ph value with test paper, which completely solved this problem.

2. The topic should be "real" and "near".

Research topics must meet the needs of students to solve their own problems. Everyone must have many questions or difficulties in life, study and reading. It is very practical to choose problems with research value to solve and make our life more convenient. For example, Cheng Zihao of Class 4 (6) studied the method of "helping dad quit smoking", and Wang Zuwei of Class 5 (7) studied the "ant trap" in view of the fact that there are too many ants at home, all of which are based on practical needs, paying attention to the real life of society and effectively solving the difficult problems in life.

Give a few more examples of good topics:

Wang Xinyi of Class 3 (4) wrote "Looking for Wrong Words in Life" and "Why should the room be air-conditioned by Li Yiran of Class 3" (1 1). Jiang Ruya of Class 4 (1) asked, "Where are the pears going bad?" Class 5 (10) Gao Ruotong's "20 1 1 Investigation of Children's Fair held by our school"; 3. The topic should be "new".

A good topic selection should also consider the novelty of the research angle. Listen to students' small project reports every semester, and you can also learn about other people's projects from other ways. It is not easy to put forward new ideas on topics that others have already studied. Even if you choose the old theme, you should find another way and think from a new angle, which has its own uniqueness. For example, many students study the growth process of bean sprouts, which is not new, but the freshmen of Class 5 (18) study "Why are there no red bean sprouts on the market?" , is the innovation of research angle. He soaked bean sprouts with mung beans and adzuki beans and made a comparative experiment. He found that red bean sprouts germinated, but they germinated much slower than mung beans, which was not conducive to economic benefits, so no one sold red bean sprouts.

Another example is "A Instant Packaging Bag for Convenient Fabric Wrapping" researched by Class 6 (14) and "Life Cycle Comparison between Spring Silkworm and Autumn Silkworm" by Class 5 (2), with novel topics. Jin Peng Forum was upgraded to a city competition.

In addition, many students choose the theme of natural exploration. When choosing a topic, we should consider the feasibility of practical research on the basis of our own interests. For example, some students are interested in cicadas. Instead of posting information about cicadas on the internet, they went to the Woods to observe them in person, and even stayed under the tree for several nights to observe the process of cicada shelling. Some students are interested in cute penguins. Although far away from our living environment, this classmate still went to zoos and museums for field observation and visited experts, which achieved the purpose of practical research. In other words, when you choose a topic, you should consider the operability of the research. If your subject can only be studied by collecting information through the internet and books, then it is not a good subject.

In addition to the research topics of nature and social life, you can also engage in invention and creation. Interested students can improve things in life and make small inventions. It is best to have finished products, photos (videos) and production instructions. The "automatic defoliation cleaner" invented by Dong Zhiyang, a student of Class 5 (16) in our school, passed the defense of district-level experts at this Jin Peng Forum and advanced to the city competition.

Second, the research process and methods should be scientific and effective, focusing on practical experience.

The general research idea is "finding (putting forward) problems-making plans-data preparation-practical exploration-solving problems".

The methods of practical inquiry should include observation, experiment, questionnaire and interview. Many students in our school can master these methods to study, but a considerable number of students regard literature method (that is, data collection) as the only research method. This method can assist the research, but it cannot be used as the main research method. Although it is easy to search and paste on the text through the network, it is not the real practice and experience of students, and the purpose of independent inquiry can not be achieved.

The research process and methods of all the small projects that won the Nobel Prize and the projects that won the Jinpeng Prize in our school are relatively scientific and effective, and they are really doing research. For example, while studying the advantages and disadvantages of disposable chopsticks, five students from Class Six (1), including Lu Xiaowan, personally visited 89 restaurants of different grades, conducted field surveys and interviews, conducted two follow-up questionnaires, and tested the chopsticks samples for bacteria, and reached a more scientific and comprehensive research conclusion. For another example, Zhang Haoran, Hou Sizhe and Yu Rui of Class 6 (16) conducted a field survey on the rainwater wells and leakage facilities on the road, interviewed the professionals of the pipe network facilities management of Beijing Drainage Group, conducted a questionnaire survey, collected and sorted out the data, and conducted research in various practical ways, thus solving the question "Why can't it rain in summer of beijing?" Many constructive suggestions are put forward for Beijing's municipal construction.

In addition to these Jin Peng projects, the research processes and methods of many of our holiday topics are more scientific and reasonable, with emphasis on practical experience. For example, Li Shukun's "Seed Shape and Plant Distribution" in Class Two (13) and Wang Anqi's "Scientific Experiment: Buoyancy" in Class Four (10) all learn by experiment, which is very intuitive and convincing. Class 5 (3) Qin "What kind of peppers can turn red?" The study of "The Life of a Unicorn in Winter", through raising small animals or planting, observing and recording step by step, and comparing research, has data and thinking, and the conclusion is true and credible. This kind of real practice and experience can improve our students' abilities in many aspects and really get the pleasure of success.

Three, according to the problems existing in this year's small project competition, put forward the following suggestions:

1, observation activities:

In your observation activities, you should generally choose some observation tools, such as the simplest ruler, magnifying glass, microscope and so on. The observation results obtained by means of tools are data and convincing results.

Observation activities can also be carried out from different angles, such as color, weight, smell, feel and so on. The more observation angles, the richer the information, and the more favorable it is to draw a correct conclusion.

It is best to record and present observation activities in the form of observation diaries, which is true and meaningful.

2. Experimental activities:

Many experimental studies should be carried out in a comparative way. In the comparative experiment, there should not be too few subjects. For example, in class 6./kloc-0, Yang used two pots of green radish, two pots of rich bamboo, two pots of marigold and other plants to study "Taomi water to raise flowers". By observing the color, size, quantity and plant height of new leaves, we can judge the effect of cultivating flowers with rice washing water.

3. Questionnaire survey:

This is a common research method for students, but in fact, in order to make the questionnaire survey more effective, the most important thing is to carefully design the questions in the questionnaire and clarify the purpose of each question. Then the scope of the questionnaire survey should be determined according to the research topic. In general, a valid questionnaire above 100 is valuable. Otherwise it can't explain the problem.

4. Research conclusions and recommendations:

In the research report, many students came to conclusions and made suggestions, which is very good. This is actually the practical significance of small-scale research. However, the conclusions we have drawn so far are too superficial, and the conclusions of investigating some problems are the same as those of not investigating them. More importantly, our suggestions should not stay in words, but also be put into action. For example, some students suggested what relevant departments should do. Then we can implement these suggestions by telephone, writing letters and leaving messages online. Some students suggested that residents should know more about a certain knowledge, and they can distribute brochures directly to residents and publicize them directly in community forums and other places. Suggestions should be made, not written in the report.

Next, the teacher will talk about the specific requirements of the winter vacation topic.

1. Each student must write a simple research report in word document. There are uniform requirements for format, font size and picture specifications. Please note that there will be "detailed requirements for winter vacation survey format" in the winter vacation parents' letter issued before the school holiday.

2. After the school started in February, each class collected students' research reports (namely word manuscripts), bound them into volumes and handed them in to the school. The electronic version of the Word manuscript is submitted to the designated folder of the campus network.

3. Within one week of the start of school, the class teachers of each class organize the students to give a "small topic report" at a specific time. In order to facilitate the report, students can make ppt presentations and show them on multimedia. There is no need to print ppt in the report. Teachers and students jointly evaluate the individual awards of various small projects and fill them in the growth manual.

4. According to the research report submitted by the school, the school selected the school-level Nobel Prize for Silver.

Students, the new year has come. "A year's plan lies in spring". The teacher wishes the students to be good at discovering, questioning boldly, thinking diligently and practicing bravely in their study and life, and to study happily and grow happily in this colorful paradise attached to the Primary School of the National People's Congress!
