Yu Hai's artistic career is often associated with major national celebrations and has been received and praised by the party, the state and foreign heads of state for many times. He often leads the PLA Military Orchestra in National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the opening and closing ceremonies of the National People's Congress, the China People's Political Consultative Conference and various national celebrations. 1999 served as the general conductor of the 1,000-member United Military Orchestra celebrating the 50th anniversary of the National Day. At the opening ceremony of the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, he conducted the PLA Military Orchestra to successfully play ceremony music. On February 13, 2003, the 20th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was adopted as a member of the 12th National Committee.

The most unforgettable thing: During the Cultural Revolution (1967), my father's salary was frozen, and my mother bought me a "high-grade" bamboo flute with two yuan, which was enough for my family to live for more than ten days.
