Sun Quan (182-2 1 May 252,) was born in Fuchun County, Wu Jun (now Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province). During the Three Kingdoms period, Sun Wu was the founding emperor (2 1, reigned in May 229-252), a politician and military commander.

Sun Quan's father, Sun Jian, and his younger brother, Sun Ce, laid the foundation of Jiangdong in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. In the fifth year of Jian 'an (200 years), Sun Ce was assassinated, and Sun Quan succeeded him in charge. Cao Cao was promoted to general to win over Lu and was taken as prefect. Entrusted by Zhang Zhao, Zhou Yu and others, Sun Quan recruited Yan Junxiu, hired celebrities and divided generals to pacify Shan Ye and conquer the rebels.

In the 13th year of Jian 'an (208), Cao Cao, who occupied Jingzhou, sent troops south. Most negotiators suggested that Sun Quan surrender to Cao Cao, but Zhou Yu and Lu Su resolutely fought the main battle and joined forces with Liu Bei to defeat Cao Jun in the Battle of Red Cliffs. In the 24th year of Jian 'an (2 19), Monroe was sent to attack Jingzhou successfully, which greatly increased the territorial area.

In the first year of Huang Wu (222), Wei Wendi Cao Pi conferred the title of King of Wu and established the State of Wu. In the same year, Liu Bei was defeated in the battle of Yiling.

In the first year of Huanglong (229), he officially proclaimed himself emperor in Wuchang, with the title of Wu, and soon moved the capital to Jianye. After the sun rose, agricultural officials were set up, land was reclaimed, counties were set up, and the mountains and Vietnam were continuously suppressed, which promoted the economic development of the south of the Yangtze River. In the second year of Huanglong (230), General Wei Wen and Zhuge Zhi were sent to Yizhou (now Taiwan Province Province).

In his later years, Sun Quan was capricious on the issue of heirs, which led to the clique's factional strife and unstable situation in North Korea. He died in the first year of Kamikaze (252) at the age of 7 1 year. He reigned for 24 years and was buried in Jiangling. Posthumous title of the Great Emperor, whose temple name is Mao.
