The founding lieutenant general went back to his hometown to find his mother and found her begging along the street. He cried on the spot: it's really unfilial.
Western Fujian is a place where the Red Army grows and develops. It was here that the great Chairman Mao creatively put forward the revolutionary idea of "countryside surrounding cities" and led the China revolution to the final victory step by step. During the Long March of the Central Red Army, there were 86,000 people, of whom 26,000 were from western Fujian. In northern Shaanxi, less than two thousand people wrote a heroic elegy on the Long March. Therefore, some people say that the red land in western Fujian is dyed red with blood by men who joined the army and belongs to the glory of children in western Fujian.

Among them, Liu Zhong, the founding lieutenant general, is one of the heroes in western Fujian. He took part in the arduous 25,000-Li Long March, led his troops to the north and south, and made immortal contributions to the liberation of China. After the founding of New China, Liu Zhong was appointed commander of Xikang Military Region.

1950, Liu zhong has not returned to Shanghang county, Fujian province 18. The last time he passed by his hometown was at 1932. At that time, the war was urgent, so he didn't go into the house and had no time to visit his mother. Now that New China has been established, he can't wait to know the whereabouts of his mother, so he asked Li Yonghai, a security guard, to go back to his hometown for information. He also reported to the Central Committee and applied to visit relatives in his hometown.

I came all the way to Shanghang, Fujian, and asked around before I knew the whereabouts of Liu Zhong's mother Lin. Some people in the village said that Lin mostly went out begging and might die on the way to begging. Li Yonghai did not dare to neglect, and immediately returned to Xikang to report to Liu Zhong.

When Li Yonghai reported the situation of finding relatives, Liu Zhong's tears came down, and his son wanted to raise and didn't want to kiss. This is the greatest tragedy in the world. But Liu Zhong didn't give up. He took Li Yonghai, once again set foot on the journey of finding relatives.

Liu Zhong and Li Yonghai shuttled through the streets of Shanghang, inquiring about their mother's news, focusing on observing the traces of some lonely old people. On this day, Li Yonghai met an old woman begging in the street, so he gave the old man some money and talked to him again. The old man said that her son is also a member of the People's Liberation Army. He has been away from home for many years and doesn't know whether he is dead or alive. Li Yonghai became wary. He quickly asked, "What's your son's name?" The old man replied: "Liu Zhong, nicknamed Taiping."

What? Liu Zhong? The commander is also called Liu Zhong! Is this old man Lin Xiulian, the commander's mother? Li Yonghai immediately found the commander looking for his mother at the other end of the city. Liu Zhong hurried to see the unkempt old woman in front of him. After nearly 20 years, Liu Zhong vaguely can't remember his mother's appearance. He asked in a trembling voice, "Are you Lin?" The old man replied, "Yes, and you are?" Liu zhong was heartbroken at the moment. He knelt down and cried, "I am peaceful, my son is unfilial, my son is unfilial!" " "

Lin Xiulian hugged Liu Zhong and burst into tears: "Peace? My peace is back! "

1906, Liu Zhong was born in a poor peasant family in Caixi Village, Caixi Township, Shanghang County, Fujian Province. How poor is it? After Liu Zhong's grandfather died, the family had no money to send him to the funeral, so they had to borrow money from the landlord's house to arrange his grandfather's funeral. Liu Zhong's father worked all the year round and was seriously ill, but there was no money at home, so he put it off again and again and later died. When Liu Zhonggang was born, his family just wanted him to be safe, so they nicknamed him "Ping An".

Worried that Liu Zhong would never marry a daughter-in-law, his family arranged an early marriage for him when he was very young. The other party is Wang Sidi, born in the same poor village next door. They have lived together since childhood, supporting each other and sharing housework for their families. Nevertheless, the life of this family is still very difficult. Later, Liu Zhong wrote in his memoir "From West Fujian to West Beijing": Every New Year, the landlord came to the door to force debts and lived a miserable life of "the rich celebrate the New Year and the poor suffer".

/kloc-At the age of 0/2, Liu Zhong left his hometown and went to work as a mason with an old master. According to the industry rules, apprentices have to do odd jobs for three years before they can really start learning crafts. It is very hard for Liu Zhong to wash clothes and cook in his host's house. He gradually realized that if he wants to change his destiny, he must take part in the revolution and overthrow the mountains of imperialism and feudalism.

1927, Nanchang uprising broke out, and the insurgents went south via Shanghang. Liu Zhong first met the troops led by * * *. Although the clothes were disheveled, the soldiers were in high spirits and Liu Zhong's heart was pounding. This is the army he yearns for. Therefore, when Cai Xi Township Farmers Association was established, he joined this organization for the first time. As the only son of the Liu family, he decided to join the revolution and defend the country.

1929, Liu Zhong joined the Red Army of Workers and Peasants and China. He is about to bid farewell to his mother, wife and daughter and go away to join the revolution. Before leaving, his wife Wang Sidi made a pair of sandals for him under the dim oil lamp and told him to write at any time. With her at home, everything can pass. Liu Zhong embarked on the road of his own support. He has been away from home for more than twenty years.

In the Central Soviet Area, Liu Zhong fought against "encirclement and suppression" five times, and made outstanding achievements. Among them, in the third counter-campaign against "encirclement and suppression", Liu Zhong, political commissar of the 33rd Regiment of the 11th Division of the Red Army, led his troops to seize a Kuomintang plane, which was a very good thing at that time and dealt a great blow to the arrogance of the Kuomintang army.

1June, 934, Liu Zhong was entrusted with an important task by the head of the Red Army Corps as the reconnaissance chief of the Corps Command. As the vanguard of the red army, the reconnaissance division is responsible for going deep into enemy-occupied areas in advance and collecting information, which is very important. Liu felt a heavy responsibility on his shoulders. He went deep into dangerous places many times to explore the road for large troops, and almost died several times.

In June+10 of the same year, the Central Red Army failed in its fifth counter-campaign against "encirclement and suppression" and was forced to make a strategic shift. As a pioneer on the Long March, the Reconnaissance Section is at the forefront of the troops, leading them to break through the blockade of one enemy after another. However, the main force of the Red Army arrived in Xiangjiang River. In the face of the enemy's fourth blockade, it was bloody for five days and nights, and its strength was sharply reduced to more than 30,000 people. The Red Army has reached the most dangerous and critical moment. This battle has also become the burial place of Liu Zhong's life. He has a chance to save the Red Army.

Before the Xiangjiang campaign started, Liu Zhong disguised himself as a Kuomintang officer to explore the road according to the instructions of the head of the army. Liu Zhong led his troops all the way through country-specific ones and Daoxian counties, and scouted the stationing of Kuomintang troops and warlords in towns and ferries along the way. When I arrived in Quanzhou, I found that the Kuomintang troops had not yet arrived in the garrison, and there were only some militia troops in the city. Liu Zhong immediately suggested to the vanguard Red Fifth Regiment to cross the river quickly and seize the whole state. However, the head of the Gongwu regiment has just arrived, and it is planned to be instructed by the leaders of the regiment. The next day, the colonel ordered the Red Five Regiment to cross the river in advance and seize the whole state, but it had lost the initiative. The Kuomintang Central Army occupied the whole state and set up vigilance. The Red Army was forced to wage a bloody battle with the Kuomintang Central Army in Xiangjiang River, and its strength dropped sharply from 80,000 to 30,000. Liu Zhong was heartbroken, and his heart ached in his later years.

In the battle of Xiangjiang River, Liu Zhong heroically killed the enemy and covered the main evacuation. When he was chasing the guards, his leg was injured by the enemy's shells and he was forced to lie on a stretcher and March. However, the Kuomintang fabricated news in the newspaper, claiming that Liu Zhong had been killed. When the news reached Shanghang, Liu Zhong's mother Lin and his wife Wang Sidi were extremely sad.

Forced to make a living, three generations of grandparents and grandchildren have to go to other people's grain fields to pick up ears of rice and dig up other people's leftover potatoes. In more difficult times, they have to dig wild vegetables, beg along the street and take care of their daughters.

Wang Sidi treated her mother-in-law like a biological mother, but Lin thought that her son had been killed and her daughter-in-law was still young, so she offered to recruit a door-to-door son-in-law for Wang Sidi to take care of Wang Sidi's active life on the one hand and add a labor force to her family on the other.

Later, Wang Sidi was introduced to a paper worker in a foreign village. The other party is about forty years old, still single, but honest, and is a good candidate. Under the auspices of Lin, Wang Sidi married a worker, and the next year they gave birth to a son.

During the Red Army period, Liu Zhong was only famous. After the full-scale outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Liu Zhong began to command troops to fight, served as deputy political commissar of the 386th Brigade of129th Division, and led his troops to Taihang Mountain to resist Japan. The 386th Brigade is a heroic unit, and its brigade commander is a famous general under Chen Geng. In the late period of the Anti-Japanese War, Liu Zhong took over as the brigade commander of the 386 brigade, and led the 386 brigade to gallop on the battlefield in Shanxi, making repeated military achievements.

During the War of Liberation, Liu Zhong galloped in North China and Northwest China, and later joined the First Field Army of the People's Liberation Army, becoming one of the "ten generals" of a field tiger, making immortal contributions to the liberation of China.

Liu Zhong not only made great achievements in military affairs, but also achieved great success in love. After the Red Army arrived in Yan 'an, Liu Zhong heard that after the Red Army left, the Kuomintang launched bloody revenge on the families of the Red Army. His mother was killed by reactionaries and his wife Wang Sidi was forced to remarry. He was very sad.

During his study in the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, he met Wu Lanying, a famous revolutionary woman, and after the organization, they agreed to become partners. Liu Zhong and his wife Wu Lanying have experienced the pain of losing their children many times. Their first child was killed on the mother's back in the Hundred Regiments War. The second son starved to death due to malnutrition, and the third son was separated from his parents. Until 1950, Wu Lan Yingcai came to Chengdu to reunite with her husband, carrying a pair of children.

1950, after leaving his hometown 18 years, Liu Zhong embarked on the road to his hometown and met his mother who had become a beggar. Mother Lin was forced by the pressure of life and had to beg along the street. Liu Zhong was filled with emotion. He felt guilty and cried out in grief. He accompanied his mother home and entered the house. He saw his first wife, Wang Sidi, feeding pigs with swill buckets. Wang Sidi's hands were covered with swill and rubbed hard on the skirt, and he didn't know what to do at the moment. The people who adopted Liu Jialai heard that Liu Zhong, a senior official of the People's Liberation Army, was back, so they were very scared and hid out.

Liu Zhong stepped forward, held his first wife's hands tightly and said gratefully, "Sidi, without you, my Liu family would have been separated a long time ago, and my military medal was half yours!"

Wang Sidi's eyes are full of tears. When she learned that Liu Zhong had remarried, she didn't have a trace of resentment, but she just felt: nature made people.

Liu Zhong once wanted to take his mother to Xikang and tried his best to make up for the time he owed. But my mother insisted on staying in Shanghang on the grounds that she didn't want to travel far. She knows that her son is her own and belongs to the country, and everything should be work-oriented!

Liu Zhong reluctantly bid farewell to his mother and returned to Xikang. Later, Liu Zhong and his wife, Wu Lanying, visited their mother many times and sent money home from time to time to help Wang Sidi reduce the burden. Before his death, Wang Sidi was still grateful for Liu Zhong's contribution.

On August 7, 2002, the founding lieutenant general Liu Zhong ended his life and died in Beijing at the age of 96.
