Changchun Experimental Middle School is a new school born at the same time as New China. Established in 1949. Its president is Yue Ping (later deputy director of Guangxi Education Department), the second president is Li Lei (concurrently deputy director of Guangxi Education Department), and the third president is Jin (later vice president of Jilin University).

In the early days of the establishment of Changchun Experimental Middle School, a large number of cadres were sent to local party and government organs, which solved the urgent needs of local personnel. During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, a large number of volunteers were sent to the army to win glory for the country. 1953, the school was renamed as experimental middle school, and began to undertake the national experimental task of teaching reform and actively carry out the experiment of educational system reform.

In the early days of reform and opening-up, Changchun Experimental Middle School bravely stood at the forefront and actively reformed, taking the lead in many aspects and creating many "firsts":

The first is to take the lead in realizing one class at a time. In 1960s, Jilin Experimental Middle School was renamed Changchun No.65 Middle School, high school attached to northeast normal university No.66 Middle School and Changchun No.67 Middle School. Later, Changchun Experimental Middle School was troubled by many students and had to be divided into two parts. "Students only attend classes for half a day. Students who didn't come to class after school in the morning crowded in, and teaching could not be carried out normally."

After the new team took office, they tried their best to overcome difficulties and solve the problem of "two-part system". For example, President Song took the lead in sharing an office with secretaries, personnel and clerks. Teachers see leaders take the lead in overcoming difficulties and actively try to overcome housing difficulties. In this way, the new team realized the one-system system on the eighth day of taking office. Changchun Daily published the news that Changchun Experimental Middle School realized the "one-part system", which greatly boosted the spirit of all teachers and students and laid a good foundation for the next reform.

Moreover, Changchun Experimental Middle School has created several firsts: the first in the city to implement the reform of the enrollment system of the Education Bureau; The city took the lead in implementing the system of more classes for key teachers; The name of the first experimental middle school in the province was restored; When evaluating special-grade teachers, the province took the lead in breaking seniority; The province was the first to participate in the teaching material reform experiment of the middle school department of the Ministry of Education; The first school-based curriculum in the province, Middle School Students' Cultivation ...

It is precisely because of such a series of reforms that it has created brilliance-Changchun Experimental Middle School 198 1 scores are far ahead: the total score of science candidates in the province is over 500, and Changchun Experimental Middle School accounts for 1/5, with a total score of over 450, accounting for 1/9. It is unique that the top students of a school can account for such a large proportion in the whole province.

It is precisely because of such a series of reforms that the school's popularity has been improved. From 65438 to 0979, the reform experiment of Middle School Mathematics Experiment Textbook undertaken by the Middle School Department of the Ministry of Education began to rank among the top schools in China. Only nine schools participated in this experiment in the first round in China, and their popularity is very high. At that time, the top mathematics teaching experts in China participated in the experiment of this textbook. They come to school, go deep into the classroom and give personal guidance, which is of great help to the improvement of teachers. The experimental effect of the experimental class is also very satisfactory.

1982, this experimental class got the average score of 1 14.7 (full mark 120). 1983 10, this class took part in the national mathematics competition with senior three students when they first entered senior two. Six students signed up, four of them entered the top 50 in Jilin Province, among which Hong Tao won the fourth place in the province. At the end of the second year of senior high school, this class took the 1984 simulated mathematics test for college entrance examination, with an average score of 70, far exceeding the average score of senior three students in the school.
