Why does the eclipse belt move from west to east?
When a lunar eclipse occurs, everyone who sees the moon (half the earth) can see it at the same time.

The eclipse belt is the place where an eclipse occurs on the earth, that is, the place where the moon can be seen. Because the moon hardly moves during the eclipse, the rotation of the earth causes different regions to see the moon in turn, so the eclipse belt will move westward instead of eastward.
