The College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture of Hunan Agricultural University (formerly the Department of Horticulture) was founded in 195 1, which is one of the oldest and largest colleges in Hunan Agricultural University. There are five doctoral programs in two disciplines, one first-class doctoral program in horticulture/kloc-0, five doctoral programs in fruit science, tea science, vegetable science and ornamental plant resource engineering, and six master programs in two disciplines, namely fruit science, tea science, vegetable science, ornamental horticulture, medicinal plant resource engineering and urban planning and design, among which fruit science and tea science are key disciplines in Hunan Province. The college has five undergraduate majors, including horticulture, tea science, landscape architecture, plant resource engineering, and Chinese medicine resources and development. Horticulture and tea science are the key majors in Hunan Province.
