Tsinghua University, formerly known as "Tsinghua School", was a preparatory school for studying in the United States founded by the Qing government. 19 12 was renamed "Tsinghua School". In order to try to cultivate talents locally, 1925 established the undergraduate department; 1928 changed its name to "National Tsinghua University". 1937 after the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the school moved south to Changsha, and jointly established "National Temporary University of Changsha" with Peking University and Nankai University. 1938 moved to Kunming and changed its name to "National Southwest Associated University"; 1946 moved back to the original site of Beijing Tsinghua campus; After 1949, President Mei Yiqi and others moved to Taiwan Province Province with the National Government, and then "resumed their studies" in Taiwan Province under the name of Hsinchu Tsinghua University. Tsinghua is under the Ministry of Education of the Central People's Government and renamed as "Tsinghua University".
