South China University of Technology, referred to as "South China University of Technology", is located in Guangzhou and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and ranks among the national "double first-class" (Class A), "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project". He has been selected into the Eighth School of Architecture, the Union of Outstanding Universities, the Sino-Russian Union of Engineering Universities, the China-Europe Engineering Education Platform, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Logistics and Supply Chain Innovation Alliance, and the Sino-British University Engineering Education and Research Alliance. ?

South China University of Technology, formerly known as South China University of Technology, can be traced back to a class of industrial schools in Guangdong Province, and was established in 19 1952. In 1952, it was formally established during the adjustment period of colleges and departments in national universities. On the basis of Engineering College of Sun Yat-sen University, Engineering College of South China United University, Engineering College of Lingnan University and Engineering Department and Specialty of Guangdong Institute of Technology, it was transferred to Hunan University, Zhonghua University in Wuchang and Wuhan Jiaotong University. 1960 became a national key university; 1988 was renamed South China University of Technology. ?

In June 2020, the school official website showed that the campus was divided into three campuses, and Wushan Campus was located in Shipai University District, Tianhe District. The University Town Campus is located in Guangzhou University Town, Panyu District; Guangzhou International Campus is located in Innovation City, Panyu District.
