In recent years, adult higher education in continuing education college has developed steadily year by year, relying on the teaching resources of schools and society. There are more than 6,600 undergraduate, undergraduate and junior college students in adult higher education. According to the needs of Shanghai's regional economy and industrial development, three undergraduate majors are set up: accounting, business administration and computer science and technology. Mechanical design and manufacturing, automation, electronic information engineering, printing engineering, medical equipment engineering and other majors 10. 9 majors including mechatronics, refrigeration and air conditioning, business administration and computer information management (see professional introduction for details). The college insists on strengthening the management of teaching quality and has trained a large number of practical talents with high academic qualifications and strong competitiveness for the society.

According to the needs of the development of market economy, the College of Continuing Education has also set up counseling training courses for adult college entrance examination, computer training courses and foreign language training courses at all levels.

Relying on the abundant teaching staff and complete teaching facilities of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the College of Continuing Education has formed a management system with standardized management, sound system, emphasis on quality, application of what has been learned and pioneering and innovative, which has not only trained a group of useful talents for socialist construction, but also won the praise of the society and the superior management departments. 1996 passed the evaluation of the College of Continuing Education of our school by the State Education Commission. 1In August, 1997, our Night University was rated as "excellent", in 2006, it was rated as the advanced collective of Shanghai adult colleges and universities, and in 2007, it was rated as the advanced collective of Shanghai adult higher education.
