Brief introduction of Tanta University
Tanta University, formerly known as Tanta Medical College affiliated to Alexandria University, was founded in 1962. 1972 is a great milestone in the history of Tanta University. This year, the Egyptian people and People's Republic of China (PRC) issued Document No.49, which stipulated that a university should be established in the delta region of central Egypt. In the same year, the school began to build, and 1973 was officially renamed Tanta University. Since then, Tanta University has become the fifth regular university directly under the Egyptian people and the Ministry of Education after Cairo University, and since then Tanta University has embarked on the road of rapid development.
