As a university directly under the Ministry of Education of China, Sun Yat-sen University has become a first-class and internationally renowned modern comprehensive university through the establishment of the Ministry of Education.

The Health Science Center of Sun Yat-sen University has a long history and fine tradition, which can be traced back to Ji Bo Medical Hall and was founded in 1866. It is the earliest college of western medicine in China, where Dr. Sun Yat-sen studied medicine and engaged in revolutionary activities in 1886. The medical teaching in North Campus has explored a new "three mornings" mode of early contact with clinic, early contact with scientific research and early contact with social practice, and gradually formed the characteristics of "three basics, three strictness and three mornings" in medical education in North Campus. The North Campus of Guangzhou Campus is the main concentration of medical science in Sun Yat-sen University.

The East Campus of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou is located at the northeast end of Guangzhou University Town, formerly known as the East Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. It belongs to the first group with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and is close to Guangzhou Metro Line 4 North Station. The total area of the teaching building is 377 15 square meters. It consists of five teaching buildings, which are arranged in turn into A, B, C, D and E buildings from north to south, with a seamless appearance.
Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University.

Zhuhai Campus has basically formed a complete talent training system for bachelor, master and doctor. There are more than 9,000 undergraduates, master students, doctoral students, international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
There are 14 fully established schools in Zhuhai Campus, including Tourism College, International Translation College, International Finance College, Ocean College, Sino-French Nuclear Engineering and Technology College, Earth Science and Engineering College, Chinese Department (Zhuhai), History Department (Zhuhai), Philosophy Department (Zhuhai), Physics and Astronomy College, Chemical Engineering and Technology College, International Relations College and Atmospheric Science College.
Shenzhen Campus of Sun Yat-sen University.

Sun Yat-sen University Shenzhen Campus is the fifth campus after Sun Yat-sen University Southeast Campus and Sun Yat-sen University Zhuhai Campus. It was established on 20 15 and is located in Guangming New District, Shenzhen. It is close to Zhupo Mountain on the border of Shenzhen and Dongguan, and the distance to Gongming Town, Guangming City and Huangjiang Town is similar. At present, the bus situation is about one hour (half an hour by car).
It should take more than two and a half hours to get to Shenzhen-Dongguan city (if you drive, you should be able to get on Longda Expressway or Pearl River Delta Ring Expressway in half an hour). The first batch of students will enter school in 20 16, and the Shenzhen campus will not be completed until 20 17, so the first two groups of students are now studying in Guangzhou campus. Shenzhen campus will be a place for the elderly in mountainous areas, far away from urban areas and other universities.
