Changzhi Vocational and Technical College, referred to as Changzhi for short, is a full-time general higher vocational and technical college approved by Shanxi Provincial People's Government, Director of Shanxi Provincial Education Department and Changzhi Municipal People's Government. The school has three campuses, covering 3 19 mu.

Its predecessor was Changzhi Agricultural School established by 1958, Southeast Shanxi Industrial School and Southeast Shanxi Coal School established by 1959, and Changzhi Staff University established by 1982. In September 2000, the four universities merged and officially changed its name to Changzhi Vocational and Technical College. There are mechanical and electronic engineering departments, energy and safety engineering departments and other 12 teaching departments, and 50 majors such as agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery 1 1 have been built.
