China Renmin University is a university directly under the central government. It is a comprehensive research university directly under the Ministry of Education, focusing on humanities and social sciences and some science and engineering disciplines. The national "2 1 1 project" and "985 project" focus on the construction of colleges and universities. It leads the country in many fields such as literature, law and philosophy, and has made great progress in the development of science and engineering recently. The predecessor of the National People's Congress is Northern Shaanxi Public School, which was founded in Yan 'an during War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's period. After that, it went through North China United University, North University and North China University. Finally, 1950 was located in Beijing and named "China Renmin University", becoming the first comprehensive national university in new China.

National University of Defense Technology, referred to as National University of Defense Technology for short, is a comprehensive national key university directly under People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Central Military Commission, covering ten disciplines including science, engineering, military science, management, economics, philosophy, literature, education, law and history. It is one of the first batch of key construction institutions in China, including "Project 2 1 1", "Project 985" and "Project 21/kloc-0". Selected in "Plan 20 1 1" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", supported by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education. The school was formerly known as Military Engineering College, and 1953 was founded in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, referred to as "Harbin Military Industry". Since its establishment in the early 1950s, this school has been an important institution of the state and the army. The school is one of the key construction projects in the First Five-Year Plan 156, one of the 20 key universities in China identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1959, one of the first batch of institutions in the State Council approved to award master's and doctor's degrees, one of the first batch of 22 pilot graduate schools in China, and one of the key institutions invested by the state during the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan. 1970 The school moved south to Changsha, renamed Changsha Institute of Technology, and 1978 was transformed into National University of Defense Technology. By May of 20 14, there were more than 4,000 students in the school, including 8,400 undergraduates and 5,600 postgraduates.
By May of 20 14, the school had 10 colleges, including Aerospace Science and Engineering College, Science College, Electromechanical Engineering and Automation College, Electronic Science and Engineering College, Information System and Management College, Computer College, Optoelectronic Science and Engineering College, Humanities and Social Sciences College, Command Officer Basic Education College and Military High-tech Training College, and enrolled students in 26 undergraduate majors.
