TEDA Biotechnology College is a secondary college in Nankai. Theoretically, it is the same level as the School of Life Sciences, but it is more independent, mainly doing things in the direction of genomics and bioinformatics. The scientific research level and conditions of TEDA are basically similar to those of the Academy of Biological Sciences. It is located in the suburb of Tianjin, passing through many wheat fields from the urban area. Although it is desolate and inconvenient to live there, it is relatively clean and the environment is better than that in urban areas (especially suburbs). TEDA's postgraduate entrance examination uses papers from the Academy of Life Sciences, which is also an independent line, just like the retest line of the Academy of Life Sciences. The written re-examination is also conducted at the Institute of Biological Sciences, and the interview is conducted at TEDA headquarters. The admission is decided by TEDA's tutor.

So is bioinformatics. Generally, TEDA students have to study professional courses in this department in the first year, which belongs to the management of the Academy of Biological Sciences. The next year, they began to do experiments at TEDA.
