Computer College of Inner Mongolia University was established in 1997, and its predecessor was the computer specialty established in 1978 and the computer science department established in 1988. The School of Software of Inner Mongolia University was established in 2005, and it is an entity of two brands with the School of Computer Science. At present, the college consists of computer science department, software engineering department, information engineering management department and computing center (experimental center), and has four key laboratories and engineering laboratories in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, including Mongolian intelligent information processing technology, wireless network and mobile computing, Mongolian information processing technology, social computing and data processing, cloud computing and service software.
The college has formed obvious advantages in the research fields of Mongolian intelligent information processing, computer network, software formalization method, computational traffic science and so on, and has certain influence at home and abroad.
