2. Hunan Normal University, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a university directly under Hunan Province. It is the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" key universities, a national "double-class" university, and a "double-class" university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Hunan Province.
3. Hunan University, located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), it was jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and was selected into the list of "21Project" and "985 Project" successively.
4. Central South University is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is headed by the administrative department of the State Council and built by the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is the first batch of national "2 1 1 Project" and the provincial-level key university of "985 Project".
