College of Literature of Zhengzhou University, formerly known as Chinese Department of Zhengzhou University, was founded in 1956. The Chinese Department of Zhengzhou Normal University merged 1963, and the Art Teaching and Research Section of Zhengzhou University joined 1994. /kloc-0 merged with the journalism department at the end of 1996 and was renamed the School of Culture and Communication of Zhengzhou University. In 2000, the Art Teaching and Research Section was divided into Music Department and Fine Arts Department. In June 2004, in order to meet the new development needs, the School of Culture and Communication was abolished and the College of Literature and the School of Journalism and Communication of Zhengzhou University were established respectively. There are 73 faculty members in the College of Literature, including 60 full-time teachers, including professors 15, associate professors/35 and lecturers 10. 85% of the teachers have doctorates and master's degrees, with a strong faculty and reasonable structure. The college has two undergraduate majors: Chinese language and literature and teaching Chinese as a foreign language. According to the needs of undergraduate teaching, there are seven teaching and research sections, including China ancient literature, China modern and contemporary literature, foreign literature, literature and art, linguistics, teaching Chinese as a foreign language and writing. In terms of discipline construction, China's classical philology is the authorized point for doctoral degree, and China's language and literature, art theory, drama, film and television art are the authorized points for master's degree. Among them, the first-class master's degree in Chinese language and literature covers eight master's degree authorization points in two disciplines, including China ancient literature, China classical philology, China modern and contemporary literature, comparative literature and world literature, literature and art, Chinese philology, linguistics and applied linguistics, and secretarial science, in addition to the master's degree authorization points in aesthetics and the master's degree authorization points in Chinese international education. At the same time, the college has a Post-Doctoral Research Center of China Language and Literature. China ancient literature, China classical philology and China modern and contemporary literature are provincial key disciplines. History of Modern and Contemporary Literature in China is a national excellent course, while History of Ancient Chinese Literature and Introduction to Linguistics are provincial excellent courses. The college has five professional research institutions, namely, China Literature Selection and Reading Research Association (National Professional Society), China Ancient Literature and Philology Research Center, Ancient Books Arrangement Research Institute, Hakka Culture and China Literature Research Institute and Aesthetics Research Institute; Two provincial key liberal arts research bases, namely the Central Plains Cultural Resources and Development Research Center and the Central Plains Cultural Research Center; There is a data information center with 65,438+10,000 books.
