Nankai University is the earliest school to offer undergraduate tourism education among key comprehensive universities directly under the Ministry of Education. 198 1 year, the National Tourism Administration and Nankai University jointly established the Tourism Department, which was the first institution directly under the Ministry of Education to set up 1 tourism specialty, and it was the first of its kind in China's tourism higher education. Over the past 30 years, Nankai University has trained a large number of outstanding talents for the development of China's tourism industry, contributed a wealth of research results, and become a leading institution of tourism education in China. 2201May14th, China Tourism Management Cadre College was transferred to Nankai University, and the National Tourism Administration and Nankai University signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement. In May of 3420 10, the School of Tourism and Service of Nankai University was formally established. Facing the demand for scientific research and talents in the development of China's tourism industry in the new period, we should re-plan the discipline strategy, concentrate our efforts on five directions: tourism enterprises, tourism market, tourism ecology, tourism information, service and leisure, continuously improve the quality of scientific research and personnel training, give full play to the mission of serving the society, and continue to write new glories. The School of Tourism and Service of Nankai University is also the secretariat unit of the Fifth Education Steering Committee of the National Master of Tourism Management (MTA), which is responsible for coordinating the national MTA education, teaching and personnel training. Professor Li Tianyuan, director of the academic Committee of the college, is the deputy director of the National MTA Teaching Committee, and Professor Bai Changhong, president, is the secretary-general of the National MTA Teaching Committee. The School of Tourism and Service of Nankai University now has undergraduate, master (master of science, professional master) and doctoral education programs in tourism management. In addition, the college also provides high-end continuing education programs for middle and senior leaders of tourism administration departments and tourism enterprises. According to the plan, from 2065438 to September 2005, the College of Tourism and Service will move into the Jinnan New Campus of Nankai University.
