The school's predecessor was Huali College of Guangdong University of Technology, which was founded in 1999. Approved by People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education in 2004, it became an independent college; In 20021year, with the consent of China people and Ministry of Education, it was transformed into Guangzhou Huali College.
